When mega evolving Charizard to Charizard X he gains dragon type and looses the weakness to water and greninja having higher base stats, specials and regular attack stats than sceptile it just got out damage
Mega Charizard X is part dragon so it actually takes neutral damage from water not super effective, so those water shurikens didn’t hit as hard as u might think, but yeah still weird lol
XYZ was literally peak, years later I still haven’t grown past believing Ash should’ve won and Ash & Serena should have canonically gotten together, even if not shown and just told. This show was so close to perfect it’s seriously a shame. Wish there was a way the Pokémon company could correct these wrongs, but they clearly don’t see ZYZ as a standout, but instead just as one of Ash’s “adventures”. XYZ was a dang ANIME.

My favourite sequence was Ash and greninja downloading sceptile's full frenzy plant attack pattern. The way they gradually had to put less and less effort into dodging, till at the end Ash broke out that smirk... yeah that's when you know the ingredients were all lined up and they were ready to COOK
The X and Y anime was peak. Although I still would rather have the Kalos league be Ash’s first Pokémon league win instead of Alola. At least they didn’t have Ash lose to a random character that the writers created at the last minute just so Ash can lose to them.

The Masters 8, in my eyes, are separated into three tiers Alain, Diantha, Lance, and Iris are in the Tier 3 Steven (maybe), Cynthia, and 1 gimmick Ash are in the Tier 2 Leon and 3 gimmicks Ash are in Tier 1 Characters in Tier 2 are a little bit stronger than the characters in Tier 3 but are still definitively stronger And characters in Tier 1 are just untouchable. I feel like this powerscaling stays relatively consistent throughout the arc

One of the best. I still prefer Sinnoh League. Less rushed, more rivals, old Pokemon are back, epic showdown against best rival. The infamous Tobias made it worse just like the Brokenzard did. Two Legendary is ridiculous, yes, but at least he easily stomped everyone but Ash with them, actually respecting the power of a Legendary.
The animation and battle choreography for Pokemon XYZ is just something else bro, they went all out for the Battle Bond vs Mega Evolution fights too. One thing I hated tho was how the English dub didn't use Ash-Greninja's battle theme, that shit's fire

DP i believe is overall the best season of pokemon,it has everything a very good story,the best rivial of the series,one of the best leagues if not the best in the series,easily the best rival fight of the series,the second best villian team after team flare and an ash who doesnt just rely on one mon for the majority of the series and uses very good strategies in his battles.Plus as an added bonus we even had pokemon contest which i believe is the best one out of all the ones.We even had returning pokemon from previous serieses Ofc it wasnt perfect espicially the pacing was quite all over the place and we had tobias amd the seies had a good amount of fillers too but overall the goods of this series greatly outdo the bads so yeah
Factually wrong Sinnoh had a huge amount of old pokemon Ash caught come back in the spotlight which the later writers were too lazy to give them any love, had him beat his rival fair and square not relying on some plot armor power of friendship bull crap, and if you were going to lose a league may as well be from THE most broken trainer in the anime.

Like Goodra peaked at like the 4th damn gym and Noivern was given no love since this devolved into the Plot Armor Greninja series instead of being about pokemon.
My guy, prefer whatever you prefer, but wasn't Infernape's Blaze as strong as it was partly *because* of how Ash treated it. That's textbook power of friendship. Hell Blaze Infernape was Ash-Greninja before Ash-Greninja. Also we are just gonna forget about the fell off champion Torterra and how the only memorable returns were Heracross, Sceptile (who got it's memorable moment from the most BS trainer in the series) and Quilava who's only battle was partially cut. This isn't me saying the Kalos League is perfect. Goodra and Noivern mostly disappointed, the League super rushed to the end which was stupid and the amount of double knockouts were a bit much but saying that the Sinnoh League is miles better is something I don't agree with.
The final battle episode should still be considered as false advertising. I couldn't watch the episode. Saw the next week episode title, thought my boy was going to win it all, but man what a letdown, especially given that the fight looks so beautiful. The Leon fight is great, but man did XYZ deliver with the visuals. "He's literally Lebron" That made my day.
I do thin that the XYZ saga was one of the best but honestly, the league could have been better and no its not because Ash lost. Its mostly because of how rushed it is. Like we see Ash starting his first match in one episode and in the next he has already beaten Astrid and moved on to the semi finals. I know they focused more on the main two matches, but it could have been better. i feel like the sinnoh, Alola and johto league is better in my opinion. The parts we saw were amazing but i feel like if it showed a few more matches and had given ash's other pokemon more shine, it would no doubt have been the best league. Oh well at least the team flare arc makes up for the leagues short comings

What i liked about this League was that it Felt less like a power spam and More like an Brawl. The pokemon were legit throwing hands with one another and it was Dope
I was so disappointed with the finals, actually made me watch pokemon again after many years since I thought ash had a chance to become a champion, but hey pokemon needs to make more money thus needs 1 more series so they made the boi loose.
I think it would’ve been a perfect ending if Ash won. He could’ve stopped his journey and they could’ve introduced the SM cast since it’s so large and it’s the first time Alola had a championship. It was a clean slate. XYZ was the best series of Pokémon and it should’ve gotten the ending it deserved.
Nah Sinnoh and Alola better tbh since both took their time especially Alola. While Kalos was amazing the league was just Alain, Sawyer, and Ash. Although sinnoh just HAD to introduced Mr.Action replay guy just to take him out. the fact that the writers had to give a random dude a mythical and a legendary only to be never seen again but mentioned in journeys just to beat ash out at his peak at the time was pretty impressive but still stupid since it couldve just ended with Paul. Alain may have gotten actual screentime before the league but he could’ve been Ash’s main Kalos rival from the start plus the fact that Pikachu fought his Charizard before it went mega and Greninja still couldn’t take it out after all that pummeling is just dumb but the league was great nonetheless. I'm gonna say Sinnoh did the overall Leauge better. Kalos was decent but rushed when you look past the Ash-Greninja parts.

DP i believe is overall the best season of pokemon,it has everything a very good story,the best rivial of the series,one of the best leagues if not the best in the series,easily the best rival fight of the series,the second best villian team after team flare and an ash who doesnt just rely on one mon for the majority of the series and uses very good strategies in his battles.Plus as an added bonus we even had pokemon contest which i believe is the best one out of all the ones.We even had returning pokemon from previous serieses
Ofc it wasnt perfect espicially the pacing was quite all over the place and we had tobias amd the seies had a good amount of fillers too but overall the goods of this series greatly outdo the bads so yeah

Factually wrong Sinnoh had a huge amount of old pokemon Ash caught come back in the spotlight which the later writers were too lazy to give them any love, had him beat his rival fair and square not relying on some plot armor power of friendship bull crap, and if you were going to lose a league may as well be from THE most broken trainer in the anime.

Not one of his pokemon lived up to the expectation of a dude who beat an elite 4 member (Grant it she was more of an assistant to the assistant to the regional manager of the Team Flare but still). And Ash only used his garbage from Kalos. Like Goodra peaked at like the 4th damn gym and Noivern was given no love since this devolved into the Plot Armor Greninja series instead of being about pokemon.
My guy, prefer whatever you prefer, but wasn't Infernape's Blaze as strong as it was partly *because* of how Ash treated it. That's textbook power of friendship. Hell Blaze Infernape was Ash-Greninja before Ash-Greninja. Also we are just gonna forget about the fell off champion Torterra and how the only memorable returns were Heracross, Sceptile (who got it's memorable moment from the most BS trainer in the series) and Quilava who's only battle was partially cut. This isn't me saying the Kalos League is perfect. Goodra and Noivern mostly disappointed, the League super rushed to the end which was stupid and the amount of double knockouts were a bit much but saying that the Sinnoh League is miles better is something I don't agree with.

The final battle episode should still be considered as false advertising. I couldn't watch the episode. Saw the next week episode title, thought my boy was going to win it all, but man what a letdown, especially given that the fight looks so beautiful. The Leon fight is great, but man did XYZ deliver with the visuals.

I do thin that the XYZ saga was one of the best but honestly, the league could have been better and no its not because Ash lost. Its mostly because of how rushed it is. Like we see Ash starting his first match in one episode and in the next he has already beaten Astrid and moved on to the semi finals. I know they focused more on the main two matches, but it could have been better. i feel like the sinnoh, Alola and johto league is better in my opinion.
The parts we saw were amazing but i feel like if it showed a few more matches and had given ash's other pokemon more shine, it would no doubt have been the best league. Oh well at least the team flare arc makes up for the leagues short comings

What i liked about this League was that it Felt less like a power spam and More like an Brawl. The pokemon were legit throwing hands with one another and it was Dope
I was so disappointed with the finals, actually made me watch pokemon again after many years since I thought ash had a chance to become a champion, but hey pokemon needs to make more money thus needs 1 more series so they made the boi loose.

I think it would’ve been a perfect ending if Ash won. He could’ve stopped his journey and they could’ve introduced the SM cast since it’s so large and it’s the first time Alola had a championship. It was a clean slate. XYZ was the best series of Pokémon and it should’ve gotten the ending it deserved.
Nah Sinnoh and Alola better tbh since both took their time especially Alola. While Kalos was amazing the league was just Alain, Sawyer, and Ash. Although sinnoh just HAD to introduced Mr.Action replay guy just to take him out. the fact that the writers had to give a random dude a mythical and a legendary only to be never seen again but mentioned in journeys just to beat ash out at his peak at the time was pretty impressive but still stupid since it couldve just ended with Paul. Alain may have gotten actual screentime before the league but he could’ve been Ash’s main Kalos rival from the start plus the fact that Pikachu fought his Charizard before it went mega and Greninja still couldn’t take it out after all that pummeling is just dumb but the league was great nonetheless. Also great vid 👍
