Honestly the kitchen tiles are kinda interesting! I don’t mind them at all. Maybe add a little lamp somewhere in there for a mid century-ish look
I am in the PNW and I’ve only lived in apartments and done container gardening, but I’ve found that rosemary, basil, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes are super easy! I also love planting lavender for the bees ❤️

I moved in with my bf last July and we're trying to do some urban gardening on our balcony! Our lettuce is thriving, as well as our strawberries - so I think those two should be a safe option :) We are also trying mini cucumbers, mini bell pepper and tomatoes as well. Excited to see which plants will make it haha

I'm the same way about my kitchen. Every rental I've been in has something weird with the kitchen but I've gotten used to it. I'd take an ugly but functional kitchen over a pretty one in a heartbeat. Praying for a dishwasher at my next place lol
So agree! I’m trying to make small changes to get it where I want it but I’m just happy with the additional storage and functionality
