Broski, essentially there are only two types of clippers. Andi's and wahl.
Oster, is an Andis like clipper system
Where Babyliss, Caliper, Kemei, (the list goes on and on) is a wahl like clipper System.
Thanks to the stretch bracket (found in your Rebels) you can now mount an andis master blade on a true 10,000 SPM motor making your master a more powerful clipper like it's corded predecessor.
I've been on Andis and their guard systems for 2 decades. The taper blade is really nice when it comes to fading hence the Master theme. Yet the wahl doesnt open like a master. So what I use wahl for is the fade blade bc it gets the trimmer line out where the fade master doesnt. I use my magic clips to get the trimmer line out. Then a few years after having my Magic Clips. I removed the blade assembly and placed it in my 10,000 50.Cals
Imagine a 50Cal or Instinct with a with the magiclip stagger tooth blade system. It's sick. And been happier ever sense.
Now, Andis opens 1/3 more that wahl Babyliss is a wahl like clipper. Yet their guard system is just a smidge different when it comes to the 1.5 guard.

Masters are the way to go they are strong and you could nail a fade easily with them they were and have always been the industry standard since school

Great video and breakdown of the guards. I find the wahl opens to a detachable metal one where as the master opens to almost a 1A. The wahl #1 guard makes a 1A metal closed and a 1.5 metal open. also the wahl 1.5 guard is a detachable metal 2 on a senior. Thanks again great video.

i started with a Andis Master and had no trouble with it, to me they are more precise and they do great detail work. i used Whal also they're not bad either i think its just about what ur comfortable with

It's because with out a guard your masters cut at a 1 fully opened apply every guard a 1 bigger from fully open example a 1 guard on the masters fully opened is actually a 2 guard

Use to chop it up 30 years ago back yard / garage style. I just got back to chopping it up again and enjoying every minute of it. The problem with CZcams is everything can be misleading, so I been going on a buying rampage. If you telling me I don’t need these & & I only most definitely confusing myself more between the whal guards and this andis guard system. A rookie like me needs to take it easy. So far my clippers I have is Gamma X Ergo with the taper blade, which I still can return. I have the Gamma Boosted with fade blade. Can’t return that. I have the Style Craft Rebels with Fusion Faper Blade. Can’t return that. I have the whal senior cordless, because everyone swears by them and I seen the blurry blurriest fades with them so I got ‘em. I really don’t know why I’m not falling in love with em. Maybe I just gotta give them more time. I had the magic clips and I just returned them, but everyone loves those as well. Again maybe I should have gave them more time. Just recently I bought the Andis Master Cordless perfect review by the way. After watching this video and knowing I don’t need em. Imma save myself some money and return em. I writing you all this not to brag, but because I’m misled from CZcams with all this different gear. I gotta admit bro. Maybe I’m just spoiled with the rebels because they just chop it up so fast. But one wrong move on a fade with those guys. You patching your clients with no room for errors. Thank you for this video brother 🙏🏽👊🏽🤙🏽😎

Also I gotta add that I bought a cordless oyster 76 with a few blades and I got to use em yesterday on a high and tight fade. Took me longer to do the cut because not having a lever but I was pretty impressed on how clean the 00000 cut came out. Any tips if I need these guys or not as well would be highly appreciated. In the end, we all just trynna save time and put out the most realistic blurriest fades 🙏🏽👊🏽🤙🏽😎

I had the corded version. Started to venture around and noticed the masters is not really all that. It gives great fades and forgiving. Bulk, clipper over comb, and Thick hair is where it’s lacking.

Yea bulking and clipper over comb is horrible because it lacks power

I use speed o guides on everything since 1999 and I feel it’s all the same after a day or 2 of adjustment but Masters all the way but dropped the ball with the cordless so noisy after a few months wish they would fix that let me know how to adjust
