Indian FTR1200 Exhaust Comparison - Akraprovic baffles in/out vs Toce low mount full system

- People often ask me how much louder than stock my Toce system is. So I did this video to compare the stock Akras vs baffles out, vs the Toce full system with DB killer in.
I do realise I SHOULD have been leaning down more when getting the DB level of the Toce so I was giving it a proper comparison, but you get the idea lol.
Toce has always been my favorite on any bike. Great product. Earplugs also make the bikes sound better because you get filtered noise. And you save your ears.

no worries. it's only a 15 min job to remove the baffles so not heaps of effort. tinkering with bikes is nearly as much fun as riding them.
@@tashneame6023I agree! I’ve always had an old bike in the garage to wrench around on. I just wish they didn’t weld the Cat starting in 2022. I’m getting a 2023 tomorrow and am a little confused with it. Some have said the baffles are welded in for the 23 and used a plasma cutter to remove them.That’s above my level of expertise. Lol! I may be misunderstanding though.
@@Brisco1983 I believe the 2023 doesn't come with the Akraprovic but another type of exhaust? so won't be as straightforwrard. There are always Akras for sale though so I'm sure you can find a set somewhere.
@@tashneame6023 I’ll definitely keep a look out for a set. I really like the Toce High Mount full exhaust. But don’t want to deal with a tune just yet. I’ve always had thumpers so I bet it’s going to be loud enough in stock for a little while. At least until I get through the break in. Lol
It's sounds so good with no baffles on the akra
yeah it's a great sound, just adds a bit of deepness and is plenty loud enough
Great you used the Db meter, to show the difference.
Mine was ear splitting when I spat my baffle. By the time I got home after an 80 odd k return trip I was near deaf in my right ear. But, with the db killer in its very rorty and very cool. I love mine and that’s thanks to Tash for getting me on to it…great comparo as well Tash 👍

id love to know if you have the akrapovic without cat to test what that sound could be. in DB
sorry no I can't test that, the Akra doesn't fit on the Toce headers and the bike with rhe Akras has the cat welded on.
Honestly the toce is just to loud for me. Ide probably run with the baffle pulled out on the Akra, then eventually get the S&S high pipes
Fair enough, it isn't for everyone that's for sure - but with the DB killer in I don't find it too loud. without it, it would be fricking insane.

How much attention from SAPOL do you get with the Toce system?
have had it since 2020 and haven't had any attention yet (touch wood)

I've got my heart on either the darkhorse bobber with Rinehart's or the ftr r carbon with toce pipes :)
@@roadieoutlawz9261 I'm in the group but generally avoid group rides. Usually ride on my own or with my better half.
the bobber and FTR are extremely different bikes, very different riding positions/group clearance/ergonomics etc. I recommend waiting until you're near the end of your restricted licence then try sitting on both to see what suits you best.

one never compares a non-cat vs a cat system... irrelevant
