When a Shark Tank episode has more plot twists than most movies
Lol
Yeah they be like "I love what you do and your product. I'm out"
Most movies don't go for a plot twist
Haha i thought the end it was going to be with steven and glen
Didn't know Brandi love is in shark tank.
Anyone else think Steve just came back in at the end to force the other two to get along?
Yes and no.
It was more like, he heard there was a chance to work together and decided it might be a good idea.
Either way.
The doctors played it.smart
Yea I think so too
I think so too. He doesn't think just about himself but about the big picture and does this a lot. And worst case he would've significantly raised his chance of making his investment succeed. So he created a win/win situation.
He's steve jobs twin absolute genius
@@abdulm5796 Australian Steve Jobs=Steve Baxter
That was a power play by Steve. He realised Andrew wouldnât go in at 5% as it was standing, so Steve put himself in at their evaluation to make Andrew think he was going to lose it. Since Andrew really wanted it, he agreed to work with Glen and the blokes got their ideal pair. Well done Steve
i dunno, steve seems a bit peeved to not get in the deal at the end.
It seems like these three physicians were sharks
These guys are literally the top of the class aka top of society aka the top period.. They know how to work under pressure smartly.. The sharks are also clever but you can't beat 3 guys working together that literally have topped everything they have been given to pass academically.. They know what they are doing.

@Rich 91 It depends a lot. Studying in medicine is pretty tough I could say. In Finland just to get accepted to any medical institution is around 2-6%. I wouldn't be so sure that it is easy and common to get there and graduate. It takes a lot of time and commitment and passion.
@Rich 91 Ofc in many countries, it is easy to get accepted to medical school. But often times, high accepttance rate is associated with high tuition fees, not so high reputation, or the certificate isn't "valid" enough to be working in more than one country without legalizing processes
Its sickening, maddening and preoccupying all at once isn't it.
Doctors out there to make a killing moneywise more than practice medecine.
Such a pity, and such a spitting image of today's world where the sick are monetized.
Its why one of the biggest pharmaceutical owners in the world left the business.
No more board meetings where patient's welfare was discussed, only spreadsheets and bottom line figures.
Steve always helps people get good deals.
Allison Willcox agreed. Him saying he was back in basically secured them the deal they wanted cause Andrew hates letting Steve win lol
Nah he just likes messing with other sharks
Craig Mackay which in turn helps people get better deals.
Thought so as well. He came back in to put pressure on Andrew to take the deal with Glen. He's smart.
He fucking bluffed them about working with Glenn I think
Steve legit pushed Andrew and Glen to that deal with his late deal. That was such a move. So happy for these guys
this is a first for me, as a Indian even i dint understand their names.
Dr. Nikhol Poovia & Dr. Raghav Murali-Ganesh are the Indian ones. Though Dr. Martin Seneviratne is a Sinhalese Sri Lankan .

They paid too high. Also, Steve is no fool. The present business model has to change for them to make money.
I think free advertising and strategic partnership with medical companies will work magic

Mark does that a lot
This was actually the best pitch and negotiation Iâve ever seen on the shark tank
Yeah. Even tho the app is shit, barely any downloads and pretty bad score.
I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma recently so anything to help fight it. BUT, I have all this information in my medical portal already EXCEPT the community part. I do understand where they're coming from in terms of "isolation". For example, I had people around me give their wishes, prayers, and sympathy, but they ain't really there for me. No one knows what it feels like until it actually happens to you. Not many people understand. Its not like the flu where it just goes away. Literally everything crumbled in my life within a week of my diagnosis. Lost my job, my gf, defaulted on my student loans, ignored by my own damn brother even after him hearing of my situation. But even through it all I ain't giving up hope. It's gonna get alot worse before it gets better. Fuck cancer!
Sorry to hear about your HL, can't imagine what it is. Having said that, I 100% agree that community support helps (a lot; I had it for other cases). The prayers is probably a US thing, but it did not help me much either.
There are often targeted support groups (especially for rare diseases (lymphoma-action.org.uk/support-groups)
@Ikonik_ Thank you so much!

This is a great business would love to see this in the uk and world wide
They mentioned they're already in the UK.
i think its already similar stuff is made at least here in canada for awhile now
Love it "Okay, then 11%"
Made them make a decision. Andrew is king
One of the very few 'Pre-Sales' businesses, who got this big of funding.
They should be thanking steve
If he only didn't have that stupid look around the clock, he would be at least somewhat likable. Can't stand him.
Just gotta love how much the room is tense at 10:53 but the Tech Doctor just there pocketing, enjoying the show. They might as well have got him some popcorn
When you are so confident of your product...You know its worth ...And 3 of them are very reputed professionals and no nonsense gentlemen...I think that the sharks was impressed by their personality and qualifications as wells as the app...And medical field it is money making fields...it's a win win situation for the sharks, founders and customers also...đ
Wow that doctor really stuck to his guns and ended up getting the deal he wanted. nerves of steel.
I'm a physician and I've never heard of this app, I work closely with an oncologist who I've referred numerous patients to.
this is something, that while I don't find it necessary, I see as useful for a very large part of the oncological patient demographic.
people who are stricken with any type of cancer tend to lose their grasp on elements of their life, not to mention their health and overall care plan.
anything that provides consistency and is able to serve as a sort of "motivational log" that will see them through the beginning and hopeful convalescence is đŻ vital in my book.
edit:
this may be the first time I've taken notes during a shark tank pitch. đ
props^:///
Well you haven't heard of it coz they said they r in the pre launch and haven't actually got on the market other than Australia I guess.
shibu these youtube uploads were broadcast on TV long ago, and recorded even longer before that since they record each season in one week. The company is past pre-rev stages, but just hasnât reached every single hospital in the world.
Edit: go on their official site, they have a huge team and have been on the market for a couple years now
So, as a doctor relevant to this field, can you explain how "tracking their journey" leads to tangible benefits? They never explained how it makes a difference
Not necessary, useful and 100% vital all in the same assessment .
hericles10 I'm not an oncologist... but I feel that many cancer patients tend to lose sight of the long term... and something that can keep them occupied and focused is a good thing. keeping a log of their progress, access to information about their specific illness, etc...
could they just keep a journal and stick to google searches and doctor visits? sure... those are also options.
A businessman is sitting on top the world... Doctors, Engineers, And many more are coming to seek help from these guys
Just Imagine if Andrew, Jenine and Glen withdrew their offer and Left Naomi open for the offer đđ I swear she would Say Out!
"Are you in or out?... He said his out... That's why I got in straight away"
Andrew's impatience/ eagerness made this vid gold
Love it, as one suffering with this ugly disease, anything to help in FANTASTIC!!! Thank-you!!
Fantastic! Wishing them all the best even more so happy for the patients and what they will get from this!
Best episode of ST!!! 3 sharks walk upto the fishes , reject 2 investors , played with rest , made 1 so desperate that he lowered his equity , another came back to grab a bite but failed , made them look like fishes!!!! #respect

Australians: shaaak
Seemed to be genuine businessmen
They declined 9% for 500k
This is a great show. It gets very interesting when a good product is presented to the Sharks.
I love hearing the Sharks dealing between each other.
Yes, shark fights are the best!
So much better than when only 1 shark is in at the end and makes a really sharky offer to the entrepreneur.
best pitch ive seen. doctors, friends and got arguably the 2 best sharks on the game for what they wanted. oh, and business owners
Incredibly smart individuals making a real difference. Came in with a very clear ask and plan to market and were rewarded with a bidding frenzy đ
Great episode, i love a bit of shark tank australia đđ»đŻ

I think Steve got back in with the intention to put the Andrew-Glenâs deal through. What a sacrifice to help the 3 doctors. đđ»
The business today has grown from strength to strength and has an estimated net worth of closer to $20 Million.
11:00 When Steve tries to pull a Bloomberg
This session is really good. One of the best.
I liked when Andrew told Glenn that remainder at the end , oky they are both in it for the money Andrew shows a good heart being the first to offer and the remainder in the end is not letting Glenn know but letting everyone know he's in it for the good it does too, working with this kind of field needs a good heart
This was one of the best ones yet!

Great negotiation
Say it or not
There will be smile's around the world for this .
That was soo good to watch. More twists than a twistie đ
The doctor in the middle was phenomenal at negotiating
Steve is always trucking out đđ
Wish you all the good luck. Doctors plz be honest to the community and you will go miles. Proud of you.
Finally good to see a good negotiations
Dudeee 3 dudes with MDs rlly rock the tank like dayum
I would use the app and all information to see what all the people with the same type of cancer do that's similar and then do clinical studies to see if it does create those cancer cells
Who else is on a Shark Tank bender?đ
There needs to be a highlight reel of Steve just getting people better deals
Watching them discuss it in the hallway is interesting because you can discern their pecking order.
great pitch from 3 great ppl
Currently all major medical facilities have electronic access to records at no charge. There are Facebook groups set up for free on any thing you choose to set up. Such as patient support groups. Google can tell you anything you want to know about treatment options. I don't see where this provides anything of value.
Kirk Johnson the reliability of online information is poor.
To me it sounded too much of valuation for a very simple app.
I think you're underestimating the difficulty of writing such an app. Giving it the level of required polish is not so easy. Handling medical data properly is its own task. You also need to implement the community features, (ideally) integrate with existing medical software, and providing expertly curated content.
Whether the app is worth $5M I don't know. But I don't think it's nearly as simple as it looks.
Wow what a negotiation! That's Fantastic.
When the beginning
The doctors try do that âcoolâ walk
they didnt try, they did it!
Superb deal made....under extreme conditions
When was this filmed
Naomi: Sounds like I should make a bid here as well.... So for that reason, I'm out
this is probably most caring app out there :')
Let's all agree...Andrew is the uncle we all want.
This was an awesome episode
I like Andrew. He is always straightforward.
That was intense
Finally, a pitch that's actually proprietarily unique! Not saying there's no barriers to entry, but it is clever.
Best sales pitch ever in a Shark Tank. Usually the entrepreneurs are trying to "convince" the investors. These guys were smart. They had 1 attitude from the beginning - 'We bring you value, you bring us value. Let's do this !!'
No I'm not impatient, I'm just trying to get things moving đ€Ł
Good deal. For social cause. I had seen cancer patient journey. It's seriously tough and isolating. Wish them luck.

What a negotiation!
Wow ...gota give it to doctors
Im calling it, this is the best episode yet.
agreed
My big concerns with any innovation in this space are that ultimately, the $100,000 license fee will ultimately make it's way into the hospital bill of the patient, and there's a lot wrong with the kind of system that allows that to happen
that was a great negotiation
Omg I love this show. So good. Haha. Shark Tank is good in general, but Shark Tank Australia I think is probably the best imo. đđđ
popular to contrary belief, Sharks do have a heart! :-) one of the best episodes!
Amazing đđđ
I'm so proud of these guys and I don't even know them lol
Poor steve . That face at the end
2 girls pissed once they said Glen and Andrew hahahaha
Why are they carrying the stethoscope, and Starks out then In. They sure watch alot of Bollywood đčđčđč
that fade tho đ„°đ„°
Couldn't they lower the barrier of entry for the hospitals by providing this as a "pay per patient" subscription model paid by the hospitals. That way it is still free for the patients, but the costs are spread out for the hospitals and it also scales up and down with the size of the institution making it affordable for small and large hospitals alike?
This is actually the better model. We discussed such a model with doctors (in another space), and it's just better scalable (time, features, etc)
If you truly, truly, truly believe in your IDEA so much.. why don't you go and make it HAPPEN yourself? With respect to praxis, I can guarantee you there will be hundreds of problems with your model as well.
@@user-kf5gc6jk8i Haha, it was meant as an interesting point of discussion, not a declaration of war buddy
