While other sports have now had this rule relaxed, it's still in place for football matches. You can drink in a private box, but not outside seating deck (the padded seat area). Because they Want the People to leave the Lounge. Not only is it better for the Atmosphere, but also if things get emotional you cant „destroy“ things in the Lounge, e.g. throwing beer after a goal
