Located near Deal station in Deal, and controlled from the rather unique Deal signal box. Semaphore signals are operational around Deal station. The signalman pulling levers in the signal box can be heard standing at the crossing. The crossing has five warning lights and three alarms. The barriers look fairly old and rusty, possibly partly because of being located on the coast and near the sea.
