Seasons 3 and 4 are definitely my favorites. It's a stretch of amazing episode after amazing episode and all of the characters really find their groove from this point forward and we find out who they really are.

I dunno. When it comes to the best interests of the child, I'm Team Dumpster. Dumpster didn't try to fry or paint the kid, or get him threatened with a sword. Dumpster just kept the rain and sun off and the wind out.

Yeah, I think they do have a couple of kids in real life. In fact, in the episode where Dee gives birth to the baby she was paid to carry, the baby they used in the scene was actually theirs.
This is the season where the show really begins to hit its prime.
Also I like the meta foreshadowing of Mac & Dee raising a baby in this episode since Rob & Kaitlin would have a baby in real life about 3 years later lol

And yet not only does it last, but it manages to not even lose a step for about 7-8 seasons from here.
@@YankeeBlues21 Yeah, I know. I'm still pretty shocked at its mainstream accessibility, but not really shocked at its staying power. I think they're great and whatever creative processes they have going on when writing and performing, they work pretty well. I think it helps that the seasons are generally on the shorter side compared to how TV used to be (with 22-30 episodes a season for a lot of shows), so they don't need to come up with too much fluff to fill out a season order.

I think it also helps that the cast are genuinely friends/family first and coworkers second (since Rob, Charlie, Glenn, & David, who plays Cricket and writes, were all real life friends when they came up with the show, and obviously Rob & Kaitlin and Charlie and the Waitressâ actress are real life couples, plus DeVitoâs family have made cameos).
Theyâve reduced episodes and taken longer breaks between seasons (and to be fair, the show has probably been past its prime for 2-3 seasons now anyway), but it still has heart and you can tell they really enjoy getting together and making more Sunny. Most sitcoms start to die when they have a couple cast members begin focusing on other projects and either mentally checking out or missing episodes (like how The League dropped off hard in its last couple seasons). But Sunny is unique where it feels like the show could wrap it up with a finale they feel is appropriate or just continue on indefinitely.

Imo Dennis was the star of this episode. But I'm a huge Dennis fan. His look into the camera while banging is a top of all time Dennis moment. Problem is the top of all time bucket has like countless shit like this lmao
I have watched every minute of this show and I've watched every episode so many times that I can't watch it anymore because I'm so familiar with the episode. Watching you watch the episode giving me a second life with the series. I have seen the dumpster baby episode a million times. Watching someone else watch it makes kind of new. I like how you don't over react or talk too much. It's a reaction video so you have to react some reaction video CZcamsrs are so animated and say so much so often at his home was frustrating. I like how you watch your shows and the level of comments you make

Not to be nit-picky, but Rob and Kaitlin weren't married at this point. Rob said he became interested in Kaitlin romantically around season 2 (aired mid-2006, likely shot 2005-ish; they'd met when the RCG group hired her pre-season 1), and they were married in Sept 2008. I only mention it because it's interesting to think of how their off-screen relationship was developing relative to their characters and *their* relationship, such as it is (mostly bitter hatred).
I read a story (don't know how true it is) that Rob came to the other members of the main writing group, Charlie and Glenn, around the end of season 2 and said, "I've got something I need to tell you", and they responded, "Say anything except "I'm in love with Kaitlin"". Luckily, it all worked-out well, but I can definitely see how it would have looked like an utter minefield in the moment, especially considering that they were just getting the dynamics of the 5 nailed down.
Fun reaction, thanks! Always cool to see this great series through fresh eyes. Also, don't know if you know it, but Kaitlin Olson had another short-lived series called "The Mick", in which she plays a very Dee-like character. Very funny! Believe it's on Disney+, at least in my neck of the woods (Canada). Also, R&K have 2 sons as of now, born 2010 (Axel) and 2012 (Leo).

Youâve begun a stretch of golden episodes that spans forward several seasonsâŠBuckle up because the awesome donât stop for a while. Whatâs kine bud? Youâre too cute! Kine bud was top tier marijuana when this episode was released way back when 2007 I think, but since then the quality/strength of medical grade marijuana has far surpassed the kine bud of the previous days. You shelled the extra money out for the kine bud if you didnât want the low grade weed full of sticks and seeds and a terrible high.
Always thought it was kind bud, guess i'm a Charlie... My illiteracy has screwed us again!
I guess this is what makes the show so relatable. We all have a little Charlie in us who is often well meaning but woefully undereducated, or we are a little bit birdlike same as Dee (who looks like a bird!) or we feel like a raging narcissist same as Dennis (or so much worse and disturbing.. let's not go there) or we channel our inner self denying self who is great at martial arts and giving people the clear after an ocular pat down like Mac, coz we are badass. Or we feel old like Frank and just wanna get freaky, or we forget our own name like that waitress chick, whatever her name is.
