- Someone described the Dundee multis as just boxes in the sky. From the many comments I've read on CZcams uploads relating to this topic and letters to the Dundee Telegraph and Dundee Courier, I'd say the majority of existing and former tenants would disagree with that description of their homes. This footage was taken just before this tower block - the last of the six Ardler multis -- was demolished in 2006. Incidentally what a fantastic panorama across to Dundee Law and Cox's Stack in Lochee.
A little part of my history right there, I grew up in St Marys and saw those multis pretty much everyday....lived in a couple of those multis in my teens....good times.

I remember in the 1960s the initial euphoria of the people who were rehoused to those homes from slum tenements with no toilets and bathrooms. Those really were shitholes. I don't remember the Ardler blocks starting off looking like shitholes. People must have caused that or bad management or both. Anyway thanks for the feedback. As for the music, that's just to lighten a rather sad image of neglect. It would be boring with no sound.

bluemeannie fucking grow up they should of done it with all the lot! They are shit holes I have spent from the age of 4 in them now 20 that sixteen years of it!! I used to stay in the hill town one it is hilltown court etc not just Dallfield! I am of on a break from work using the WiFi at my work with a nice strong coffee you can tell all the st Johns teachers when I was going there I was drinking 4 tins of monster a day!!! That is why I was never in but always for a exam and my clean drinking license is coming in handed to get to work in Glasgow one Long drive to pay big money to live in a tower block and thank fuck I will out of them soon.
