I am using Vellejo Game/Model color, did a dry brush/buffing working my way up multiple metals, I actually started at a base bronze and went all the way up to mithril silver which was super easy, just took a bit of time to get the slightly rusted battle worn veterans of multiple wars against the horrors the warp can throw at these dudes! Just the detail work which I will start tomorow, hopefully I get a similar look, only maybe a tad rustier.

    • @onelastblade3913
      @onelastblade3913  Před 3 lety +1

      I use Model Master Liquid Cement. It has served me well over the years.
      Technically, in Warhammer 40,000 every model is equipped with whatever you have modeled him with.So this guy here has a Nemesis Daemon Hammer and a storm bolter. Each weapon has different stats, though. When you are rolling for a unit's attacks, it is typical for people to roll all of their attacks at once. If a squad of five guys all have Nemesis Force Swords, I can just scoop up a handful of dice and roll all of their attacks at once. If they have a mix of weapons, I have to roll for the swords, then the halberds, then the hammers, then the warding staves, and it just makes the whole thing take a lot longer.

    • @onelastblade3913

      It's atypical to switch that stuff around with Grey Knights, but you can absolutely paint them as you wish. Can always create some lore justification for why they are blue rather than red.

    • @onelastblade3913
      @onelastblade3913  Před 3 lety

      I love their individual paints, but every spray of theirs that I use covers my miniatures in tiny little bumps. It's possible that Army Painter sprays are more delicate, and that the moist PNW air makes them react that way, but they haven't worked for me.

    • @Wardopolis3030

    • @onelastblade3913

      They’re very temperamental. Unless conditions are just right (humidity, temperature, etc), TAP sprays leave little bumps all over the models, or they go on either too thick or not thick enough.
