Caillou started in 1997 and some sources said they ended it in 2010 others said 2018, not sure what's up with that, but In a statement, a spokesperson for PBS said that Caillou was retired as part of their ongoing efforts to continuously refresh their offerings to meet the needs of today's kids.
The original voice actress that did the voice for Caillou died in 2003 when she was 17, the car she was in for unknown reasons went off its original trajectory ended up going the wrong way on a highway and struck a 20-foot semi-truck head on and burst into flames she and the driver of said car were both killed instantly. They halted production of it and brought it back in 2006 with a new voice actress.
