Thanks for taking the time to do this. I see you did not use the insert. Will the bolt hold or will it be too loose and vibrate off?

Best way for those who have the M12x1.50 is to buy the helix coil tap kit, it comes with a Tap M12 but in reallity the tap makes M14 tread to fit the coil in so instead of using coils just retread all an use m14x 1.50 i did to my 2 rear wheels and its been 1 year and no issue

Could u explain more. Im facing similar problems and I used M12x1.5 tap but the stud bolt doesn’t torque to 80ft-lbs.

I messed up the first few threads on my X1 and can't get a bolt started. I determined the thread to be 14MM/1.25 pitch. I want to run a thread chaser to try and clean it up. I think the best bet is to run it in from behind where the threads are good. This will insure that I am following the original thread pattern and then "bite" into the damaged threads. I am concerned if I try and start it from the front, I may not line up with the good threads. That said, I don't know how accessible it would be to run the chaser in from the rear of the hub without a lot of disassembly. Any thoughts or advice?

Hi Diesel Mike I think that will work just fine if you can get a thread chaser in through the back. Not sure your vehicle setup . Mine has two bolt striped done chased them twice so I’m going to change the whole hud next .thanks for watching I appreciate you good luck

Hi i have a question! How dangerous is it, to drive with wheel bolts that have been pressure screwed in? As in, the thread in the hub is slightly cross threading. I have been able to safely place two new wheel bolts into my hub, even though there was some resistance. Is this extremely dangerous? I have the other three wheels bolts completely in no problem.

Hi Arthur Prigodich as long as you have three in there and they have no problems your good but make sure you put the rest on asap I drove a car for a month with just three with no problem but finally replaced the rest hopefully they’re scattered not next to each other

I have the same problem! Did you use a bigger bolt or is it okay to use one of the thread insert comes with the tool package?
    Tnx for the video!

why didnt you use the timesert coil after you tapped the thread, or is it enough if you use the tapper , since its the hub and you need a stronger bolt, is there a reason you didn't use the coil or timesert to keep the bolts stronger?

Hi Musthakahamad I didn’t use it because I was planning on changing the whole hub but you can use it if it’ll work for you . thanks for watching. I really appreciate you.
