Bobby is very, very, underrated. He deserves and needs to join a good, big named band, fulltime. Alot of of em' are really missing out on this guy. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their drummer.
Bobby Jarzombek is just a class act. Great drummer and good dude. Wish I could do a 1/4 of this stuff. People can knock twirling, but rock acts are a visual and sound experience. The fact that someone can do all of that showmanship and still play as well as he does is impressive as hell.

Most ppl will say that stick twirls are only for show offs. I don't think so when jarzombek does something it is for a reason, like in this video he showed us that stick twirls can be used to hit multiple symbols more efficiently and quickly for a perhaps more dramatic sound In a song. Or they can be used to make a drum roll sound much more technical and/or fuller. He's a great drummer.

Truly brilliant technique. I love how it looks as though he tries to avoid having his forehead sliced by his front crashes. Cymbals crowding his headspace :-P Very nice overall!
I half agree with that. Why can't he use other peoples tequnieks (however you spell that). Heck, if I made up something cool, I would love to see other people use my ideas. And yea a little too much db on some of the semi jazz like grooves. A little more single would be cool. other than that. I think this is one of the cleanest most talented drummers out there. I can't believe some of the time signatures he does.
Alright, think about it. If Mike Portnoy could hit his cymbals behind his head, or spin his sticks while he was doing it, or even play that fast, he would have done it by now. Portnoy, is, believe it or not, very egotistical with his drumming. I am one of his biggest fans; DT has been and always will be my favorite band, but Mr. Bobby Jarzombek is in a league of his own. This is almost fucking inhuman.
Maybe he's hard to work with like not very good at the business side of things? Just wondering myself why hes not a bigger presence in the music community.

And I've got some buddies who've seen and talked with him at some of his clinics and say Mike's a cool down to earth approachable guy. He's also said a zillion times he doesn't like playing drum solo's.
