I grew up in a house with a wood cook stove; your video brought up a lot of good memories. The smell of a wood fire combined with sizzling meat, baking bread, beans, and pies all came flooding back. There is some sort of magic that gets worked on food cooked over fire, it becomes exponentially more delicious.
Sometimes I start to think that this is the best lifestyle, what a wonderful place.

I love how the little one has veggies on his plate ! No "sludgey" "nutrient-dead" baked paste like mac n cheese or hamburger helper. Just pure, wholesome, nutrient dense vegetables.

I love it. This is our life. We have a wooden stove and we cook food from the garden and the coffee is the product after the process, so we drink it pure. This is the best way of living for us. The kitchen with the wooden stove is the room metting. Every body loves it.

I still prefer the looks of the antique stoves from the 1800s to the 1900s but this here is truly a beauty, you can be mistaken that its more than 100yrs old! Has a bit of modern touch that I like, the glass panel, just warms the heart right up to see the fire in there, wonderful! You Sir are keeping it these stoves alive! hats off to you from USA!

Gosh, how many thanksgiving dinners were cooked on a wood burning stove! The trick is temperature control for the oven side and the stove top. That takes experience and trial and error. Grandma, to daughter, to granddaughter.

Brilliant. Brings back old memories of my Grandparent's farm with the old stone house on the small mountain overlooking the ocean and my Nanny cooking on her big black and white woodstove.

Homewood stoves should really team up with a foundry and send some patterns to the US! They'd make a fortune here and I've actually considered moving to NZ just so I could have one

Wow thanks for replying! Do you guys operate a foundry of your own or do you contract it out to a separate foundry? If you contract to a private foundry in NZ I would think you could do the same to a foundry in the US, or you could open up a factory over here maybe. I don't know the details of how guys operate so I don't have all the answers, but I'm sure we could do a survey to see how many people would be willing to buy from you if you came over and that could give you an idea of how practical it would be for your business to do. I don't know if this is the case in NZ, but in the states there has been a renaissance in getting back to the old ways and there are a lot of people homesteading who would love to be able to buy stoves like yours. Right now the only two options here are antiques which are mostly in poor condition and welded steel sheet cook stoves. There are people here on CZcams who have channels dedicated to homesteading. There's a guy named Cody with the channel wranglerstar, who has helped spread the word for a couple of businesses already, maybe you could team up with him, I bet he'd like to see Homewood come to America. Anyway, I wish you the best and you should know that this video is some of the most effective advertising ever!
I would order and pay for a stove right now if you bring your operation to the US. I have never seen a better stove for heating, cooking and hot water...absolutely LOVE IT!

I would buy a stove if they were available here in the US as well. What a beautiful wood stove. The only thing about being made here or imported would be the emissions on the stove. It would have to have either a catalytic system or a reburn system. I personally would rather have the reburn over the catalytic system due to the high cost of replacement of parts for the catalytic system.

What a beautiful video! I didn't want it to end.
My Nan had a range here in England,she had a copper for the washing clothes,a galvanised tin bath for washing us urchins (in front of the range,...bliss!),a mangle for squeezing the water out of washing. There was always warm towels hanging above the range on a ceiling mounted rack. Nan had the range removed,men came and smashed it with hammers,it was replaced with a gas stove and the heart left the house.
Modern cookers are poorly made,with a shelf life,Nan's range would have gone on forever.
Forgot to mention Nan would get my brother and I to black it every now and then,the winner would be given a barley sugar boiled sweet. Where did we go wrong?
