    Based on the novel by F.L. Green, Odd Man Outt see's the leader of an Irish separatist group's, after hiding out in the house of Kathleen and her mother, and planning a robbery... When the robbery fails, and Johnny's wounded a man hunt is launched, and both the police - and Kathleen go in search of Johnny, but for different reasons.
    This was seen as James Mason's catapult into stardom and is a top tier British noir from a director just about to reach the peek of his powers...

    Such a great film. This is the first example I give whenever I talk to anyone about film noir. The cinematography is outstanding. Mason is exceptional in this, but then he was exceptionally good in a lot of his roles.
    I read his autobiography during the covid period, a very interesting read.
    Nice review as always.

    Love James mason. Second only to Richard Burton for his speaking voice. Check out spring and port wine. A terrific British film from the early 70s Thank you as always for the review.

    This is one I haven’t seen, sounds interesting though and I will watch anything that stars James Mason, he was such a fine actor. Definitely one for my list of movies to see, nice one mate, take care👍😃👍

      Thanks Alan. I'm sure you'd enjoy this one as it's a great little British noir. I've got the Network Blu-Ray which has unfortunately increased a little bit in price since they went out of business, but I did see a copy in CEX not long ago that was pretty cheap.
