Are you sure that Bruce just likes to play in the rain, and that he's not avoiding being under the tarp because the sound of the rain hurts his ears? When you called him, he seemed afraid to come under the tarp, and ran away as soon as you let him. Dog's ears are very sensitive, and the rain really was loud.
Bruce is a working dog and the only thing he doesn't like is thunder. Even at home when it chucks down he lies in the grass to pounce on sheep. It's his disguise. When it snows he also does the same thing. The only time he stays with me is when there's food on offer.

I don't think I've ever met a dog that likes to stay outside in the rain, but if he does it at home, then it's not the sound of the rain hitting the tarp that's hurting his ears. He just likes doing it. I loved that video. Always loved the rain, and this video, to me, is very relaxing.

Love watching these videos! Best vacation I EVER had was 3 weeks under a homemade tent with my 2 boys and my little brother . I had ordered a tent and it did not come on time. So !! I went to our Builders Supply store bought a roll of the thickest, clear plastic they had .....a very long roll of rope a bag of heavy duty clothes pins and built me a tent. .....worked wonderful!! That was in 1978.
This was in far Eastern East Tennessee in a place called Paunt Creek. No facilities except a bathroom . It was at the foot of the Appalachian Trail very near the western North Carolina border ....
Came a tornado just a couple miles from us and I never let fire go out. The boys set inside the tent and held the tent from blowing away. It was so much fun......didn't take one picture...I sure do regret that. No such thing as cell phones back then. My youngest son died in 1992 at 25 yrs old and my baby brother died in 2002 43 urs old.....Both by motor cycle
wrecks....So that vacation was and is a wonderful...

Bruce reminds me so much of my 2 year old border collie. Yes he licks me, yes he likes to look out the window at home, yes he likes to be pampered. He’s my best mate and buddy. I’m a newcomer to the channel and I find it so relaxing watching. I just admire your chilled out attitude to any adversity I.e. the rain!

It seems no matter how hard it's raining in your videos, I can't recall seeing any lightning or hearing thunder. Camping in the rain can be a blessing at times. A buddy and I did a 12 day canoe trip in the Everglades of Florida. We paddled solo canoes and at the start of the trip it started raining . On with the rain coats , about an half hour later off came the rain coats. For 11-1/2 days we had constant rain , 24-7 type of rain. This was in the last week of May and 1st part of June , a really hot part of the year. The rain was nice and cool which we enjoyed for the whole trip. Yes , everything was soaked , even the dry bags had water in them.

Dear AB. I'm watching this after 7 months again,the reason being you are one of two of my favorite CZcamsrs and I absolutely love each and every video of yours. I have a corporate job which makes my days intense and this is the best escape for me. I had some issues with my internet and luckily I had saved two of your videos that I have watched for a week every night before I went to bed. Bruce is a bundle of nonstop energy. He is a very lucky dog with all the space to run and explore to his heart's content. I never tire of rain and wind in your outings. I also like that you bring what you need for reasonable enjoyment and comfort. It's all about enjoying nature. Thanks, for allowing me to come along.

I love listening to your camping in the rain videos when falling to sleep. So calming and soothing. Too bad there are loud ads every three minutes though.
Love your videos. I love how attentive and loving you are to Bruce. Keep up the great videos. Take care of sweet bruce, oh and of course yourself. . Since being in the south and this covid, many irresponsible owners are abandoning their pets. So sad, I feel for the pets not the owners. What I find fascinating is how much Bruce loves the rain.
When you were fussing on Bruce sniffing around after getting a piece of the food, the automated captions said, "Bruce Wayne!" That made my morning. Cheers
🇬🇧 As always, a great, enjoyable, torrentially wet video! You talk about no firewood to be found in the beech bush but then Bruce helpfully brings you a big tree 😊. Love hearing your detailed critiques of the equipment, even though sadly there's no way I could consider camping now. But well designed tools and pieces of kit are always interesting and valuable. Have you considered testing the microfibre travel towels for both of you or any waterproof dog jackets for Brucey being you both enjoying camping in the rain? @@ABCampingTony I was in Exmoor National Park and was 3 days rainy. Couldn't dry my pants for two days because was rainy during day and night. I tried to dry it on my bike.
They don't slice Burger Baps normally so that they stay fresh inside for when you cut them ... They dry out as soon as you cut them in half .
So why do they slice hot dog buns?

We Loved the torrential rain, we have always loved torrential rain, we also love really big storms. Its so exciting. It was very exciting and very entertaining to watch your video.
