So the rumour is Bumpa (bless her heart) was cast MUCH later than everyone else. Like, had a quarter the time everyone else did basically. That’s why her runways didn’t match the categories (it was basically whatever she had in her drag closet) and she didn’t get to prepare her talent show performance ahead of time.

About Miranda Lebrão's runway look, i particularly loved 'cause is the same floor of my childhood backyard house, and the glasses on the concrete wall was the same as our "best security system" and almost everyone have this plant (called espada de são jorge) in front of the door to avoid negativity inside the house....So is really a complete representation of a suburb house in several states in |B|rasil.
But is really a conceptual look with a mess perspective as our houses =D

Hana Beshies runway this week is actually a nod on this old horror movies in the philippines (Shake, Rattle and Roll) where this green creature is notorious for killing humans that stole her eggs in the ocean, and this toilet easter egg is the most iconic scene in the movies where it poped in the toilet to kill the other person.
I've actually never seen any films from the Philippines. May need to start adding some to my list.

What I found weird about the maxi challenge on Brazil was they had to practice "choreography" but it wasn't seen in the final output. Grag even said they can use the pitcrew, but they were not seen as well.

I don't know why the judges came for her, because the fandom is so onboard with the look, but grigues don't understand bc it's not part of your cultural background. and it's FINE. it was a look to represent her roots, so obviously it's gonna make more sense to people who share similar roots. I saw that look, and now I feel like I know SO MUCH about her story from her look. maybe non-brazilians don't get it because it just wasn't for you.

I had NO idea what was going on in that Brazil video, but I do like that we’re getting lots of split openings. I like having an elimination free week at the beginning of some kind.
Down Under feels like a parody at this point…Like they know it isn’t going to reach the polish of other shows so they’re having fun instead. Seeing them put a wig on a dog? Sure, let’s make this camp. I love Flor though and with a lot of work that CPR skit could be very funny. I’d like her to be on an All Stars or Vs!
Season 2 of Down Under was superb. Spankie had insane charisma, Kween is an amazing performer and Hannah is just a polished professional. And many other queens in that season shined; Minnie gave workroom drama like no other, Molly was a delight and Yuri deserves to be in a Vs the World. It's a shame that after S2 we went to this instead of keeping with an upwards trajectory.

I love the talent from down under Hollywould , isis and Flor really are quite amazing charismatic queens. But oh it’s so messy this season, judging is questionable.. and just feels like it’s a joke season .. which is sad cause season 2 seemed to pick the show off the ground after the disaster of season 1 …

I'm glad you mentioned the Divina look-a-like! I thought that immediately during the music video. I thought there was some exciting queens in the first group, Aquarela being my favourite. I also enjoyed that we got more older queens.
DRDU talent show had a low bar to clear compared to season 1 and I think they just managed it, thanks to Flor, Isis and Hollywould. I thought Flor was going to win (just based on storyline) but on reflection agree Isis did the best. If she doesn't win, well, I'd be shocked.
Also Amy Taylor was hilarious in how much she enjoyed herself while not giving a f*** that she was supposed to be judging. She was just there for a good time.
I don't like the way the judges ask for "more vulnerability" because its usually code for "Cry more".

I disagree! Especially in the 'untucked' portions, but also regularly in the workroom, she has been the sweetest to everyone, helping them get ready and listening to their stories. Also defending Flor in the episode where they all said she had to go home, while also not going after Bumpa either. She hasn't been outstanding in the challenges, but she's been a real sweetheart.
Matilduh chose her role specifically.. so she didn't "end up" with it, but I agree roles are not written equally at all.
And others tried to tell her to pick something else, but she stayed with wanting that small role on purpose!
Yeah idk. Isis definitely seems slated to be the winner, but I just thought what Flor brought to the challenge and runway was more entertaining and definitely more unique. Plus the episode was building up to a Flor win then…. it just didn’t happen, which made the episode feel unsatisfying. It almost feels like the producers had a planned order of wins for this season and didn’t want to sway from that at all despite what we’re seeing. Last week it seemed like a buildup to an Isis win which didn’t happen, and this week the same happened with Flor. It feels unnatural.

About Drag Race Brasil, I know you didn't mention how the queens performed at the challenge but Betina's verse on the music video is kinda going viral in the brazilian drag race fandom, it was so unintentionally funny. Also, Melusine SLAYED the music video.

Brazil really needs to step their shit up. I know that Drag Race was always over produced but they didn't even try to pretend this time. How were those girls practicing their lyrics without earphones to sync with the beat? And Grag wasn't wearing one either. The DJ over there was just a random dude from the filming studio in Colombia pretending he was doing something and having no idea of what was going on. And then they try to make up a coreo just to film the video with solo closeups? Dafuq was going on over there? This is not a good representation of Brazilian drag excellence. I didn't even try to turn on the English subtitles to see if it was at least well translated enough because I didn't want to be more let down with it.
I wonder if next week they will do a top two one from each group and a bottom two one from each group 👀👀 that would be really interesting

Regarding Brasil, you didn't understand what they were going for in the music video, which would be the kind of video you'd see as shot in the streeta of Brazil (obviously on a budget). To me that video was kind of the U.S. S6 rap video style. I didn't think the premiere was "rough", it was actually quite good for a first season.

Regarding DRPH, according to the Drag Race Fandom, Katkat was actually low in the rusical and Bernie was the other top. So ØV actually was runner-up. Also Hana deserves more love. She's been consistent as well since being bottom 2 in their premiere. This top 7 is actually pretty solid. I can't tell who's going home next.
