I agree with you 100%. The only thing we share is skin color. In terms of attitude, forward thinking, attention, culture, fashion, and swagger, South Africans cannot compete, next to a Nigerian, different animal. If you ask anybody who is honest, they would tell you the same thing I'm telling you. Yes, you are right. Cannot compare.

For most Nigerians we grew up in a society of over 200 cultures where interacting and mixing things up is the norm that's why Nigerian musicians and producers easily pick styles and mix it up. That's why the music from Nigeria is hard to classify as one.
As far as music goes Nigeria has been consuming African and Diasporic African music, from the Carribbean reggae American soul and jazz to Congolese Sokkous, Southern African, Northern African and East African sounds have always had Nigerian listening ears alongside Local Nigerian sounds, so it's just logical that Nigerians will be influenced by them. Ghanians too are similar in this case.
South Africans rarely mix things up with sounds outside South Africa therefore it takes time for foreigners to develop a liking for their unique sounds
It's only South Africans that will think of it as a beef. Nigerians don't see it as a beef, but rather cultural mixing. It's just that Nigeria has the population so it's bound to be that Nigeria will dominate.

Oh, come on, Ghana is the birthplace of Afrobeat? Keep believing that story. Ask yourself how many Ghanaian Afrobeat songs do you know. Only until recent 4 years ago did Ghana begin to sing Afrobeat, so how can it originate in a country with no history of it? Nigerians know that Amapiano comes from South Africa, but we just tease you for fun and yes we made it go global and you all know it.
