Came looking for a breakdown of the big brother .22 LR pistols, but I stayed for a good video =)
Great video and review. Thinking of getting one for sure now.
Thanks for the great vid John! Another viable option in this price range would be the Beeman P17 Deluxe. It has a much better trigger and sights and has more power. Cocking and loading the Beeman is a bit of a pain compared to the Browning and Ruger though.
Dana greased a rat with his Buckmark at close range. I'd rather have a Zoraki HP. Pricey, but the trigger is supposed to be real good.
Great video. Thanks for that
I have the bookmark and shoot it at 13 yards with a pinty red /green dot and I am happy with the results .Great pistol.
Thanks for informative video! Buckmark is my choice because of sights. scope rail. and easier to mod trigger.
Good video. I did some mods on the triggers and had done videos on them but CZcams flagged them and I had to remove them. But my Buckmark is under 4lbs now and the ruger is under 5
Funny. But it's ok for a porn star to talk about anal sex on YT and not get flagged🤔
I'll take the Browning Buckmark all day over the Ruger Mark iv, it has lil more power especially after a lil bit of pelligun oil 🛢 but mainly the addition of a RedDot is a plus ➕
Nice video! I have the Ruger mk 4 love it like you say, the only thing, the trigger pull is heavy but for the rest , i love that pistol. It was excellent doing a comparaison for theses. Thanks again.
Great quality video my friend, I love the style of both but put my beans on the Buckmark. I like being able to mount a dot sight and it looks as though the trigger is just slightly less awful. Lol Really can't go wrong as both look to be fun plinkers.
Appreciate this video as I am just mulling over the purchase of the Mk. IV. The trigger pull is a bit disappointing, I'll have to follow your suggestion for workarounds. Thanks so much.
I like guns that have a hard trigger pull it makes it more fun for me
You think these are heavy trigger , try the crossman break barrel one or any pistol that have a front grip assist thing
Out of the Box with no Mods:
Mk4:
- Heavy Trigger Pull
- Cannot mount RedDot / Scope
Buck Mark
- Heavy Trigger Pull
- CAN mount Red Dot / Scope
P17:
- Great Trigger Pull
- CAN mount Red Dot / Scope
What I was wondering about is the locking mechanism used on the barrel of these guns. From what I've seen the Buck Mark has a more traditional locking mechanism, whereas the Ruger appears to have some kind of c-clip that grabs the bottom of the rail instead. I gotta wonder how well that will hold up over time. I was leaning towards the Mark IV because of the slightly higher velocity and the sights seemed a little better. But somehow I feel the Browning might be a little more accurate. That and the idea that there's a mounting rail on it makes it a tough decision.
I bought the Mark IV based on looks and just for a bit of fun shooting cans etc. It's good for that purpose but yes when testing and shooting groups on paper the creepy heavy trigger seems to be the limiting factor for accuracy. Having to wrestle the trigger is a bit of a shame because otherwise the low power mechanism and 5.25" rifled barrel has decent accuracy potential. Looks cool, decent build quality, quiet and fun to shoot though (and suitable for careful shooting indoors) so over all I like it. Can see myself buying a Buck Mark or similar for comparison and/or perhaps attempting a trigger tune on the Mark IV.
Great video! I just bought a mk4 pellets gun because I have a real mk4..was an impulse buy..It cool because I can shoot it off my deck no noise..trigger is good for practice holding those sights on target for cheap
Very cool video and guns. I hope came soon in brazil🙂
Thank You for your help. I just purchased the Mark IV, and now I will be purchasing the Browning as well. Could you please send link to the disassemblely and how to get the trigger squeeze to around 5~7.
Off the subject, did anyone ever say you resemble the guy from "the Hangover Trilogy" the guy who ripped out his tooth in part 1, Iron Mike Tyson facial tattoo in part 2 and breast augmentation in part 3. If there is a fourth, I'm going with a Wheatie box individual that rimes with Bruce Jenner. WOW 😂 it's just a flesh wound. After that, .. um,.. does the plumbing still work? Honestly. 🤨
Is it weird that i own a Ruger mark IV in 22lr yet i still want one of these? I take that back i would probably break em. I was the goof ball kid who would always spray a little wd40 behind the pellet to cause a diesel style explosion. In a rifle sometimes youd get a sonic crack out of the pellet. I dont think i could resist doing it with these pistols either.
I think the buckmark won, even though the front sight is not fiber, you can add a red dot on it .
Is it save to you after all the air pistols you shot the umamex vs crossman [50.00ish price range] is your favorite?
Have both . Buckmark all the way !
Im thinking of getting the Buck Mark, I'm glad I shopped around, one site wanted £90, another wanted the same but for the gun, a tin of pellets and delivery. I'm thinking I might try to tune the trigger for a lighter pull, im looking forward to getting it as it'll be my first air gun I'll own, instead of break-action rifles at a range.
ชี้อหน่อยครับ
For me the buckmark has much better trigger the ruger is rough & gritty
I bought the mark iv as far as im concerned its garbage ive been around air guns since i was 9 years old im now 62 the mark 4 is garbage !!!!
Come on. So the trigger pull is 8 pounds. All that means is you're gonna have to get used to an 8 pound trigger pull. It looks like you've already got the hang of it, and all you need to do now is adjust the sight and you'll be hitting bullseyes consistently.
I only commented because I just recently purchased the Ruger Mk. IV - better known as PRINCESS LEIAS' SIDEARM - and it ain't that dadgum hard to get used to the trigger. If you're gonna hit bullseyes no matter what, then fussing about the 8 lb trigger pull is a minor point. More like a challenge. It's good for you, builds character!
EDIT:
Thanks for bringing the Browning - aka PRINCESS LEIAS' OTHER SIDEARM - to my attention. I suppose I'll need that one too.
Please consider changing the video title. We have it confused with the 22LRs with same names which are actual firearms.
😂
