No one can be better than Rafi sahab. Versatile singer- all types of songs, not limited to jolly mood songs only, qawwali, bhajans, naat. Some of the best bhajans are his.
His voice suited all actors and he modulated his voice according to actors. For johny Walker, dilip kumar, dev anand, mehmood, Shashi Kapoor, Big B, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, etc. By listening to his songs, one can tell who is the hero on which the song has been filmed.
Has sung in numerous languages- hindi, bhojpuri, marathi, Punjabi, awadhi, arabic, southern languages too.
Pure heart person. Complete gentleman, no ego at all.
He never ran after money, due to which lata Mangeshkar stopped singing with him (royalty issue).
Supported new comers like laxmikant pyarelal.

बिलकुल गालत बात है. रफी साहब के लिये भारतरत्न भी छोटा खिताब होगा. वोह तो करोडो दिलो के रत्न हैं विश्वह्रदयरत्न हैं. करोडो लोग उनकी पूजा करते है. सबसे ज्यादा हिंदू लोगोने उनकी जीवनयात्रा संगीत यात्रा के उपर किताबे लिखी हैं.

There are great great singers in the world, all are our favourites. But the variety and range recorded by Rafi saab is probably unmatched in the history of world music.
The strange thing is I never met Rafi sahab but whenever I hear his voice or see him in interviews or if anyone talks about him,tears roll down my face as if he was my own . The thing is I miss him just as I miss my late mother and father, and the thing is the more I listen to his voice the more I have a hunger to hear more and more of his songs. This phenomenon is driving me crazy, I just don’t understand

I am from Pakistan, I love old filmi songs of pakistan and india(1950s to. 1970s),ahmad rushdi akhlaq ahmad, masood rana and kishor are my favorite male playback singers but I admit that none of them could even touch the singing of rafi sahab, he was a real anly playback singer, in Pakistan ahmad rushdi had the style but rafi is only singerof his kind.

kishore das songs are good.but rafisaabs variety and penetration and voice clarity is missing in many places. not even a single classical,patriotic or pure gazal or quavali is in kisoredsa list.'his singing rane is limited.Rafisaab and Yesaudasji cant be replaced.
