I love shooting like this very fast and very dirty but with great results. I also love it when people put out tutorials like this because it demonstrates beautifully just how little gear you actually need. HOWEVER, the pitfalls of this style are only to clear as soon as continuity is lost as it can make editing a nightmare. So a dedicated continuity person or a very good organized director is crucial. Also, one camera shooting requires actors to know their lines. The latter is the hardest to acquire.

Amazing we can all be on different continents and the storytellers have the same desire and drive. I am filming my first feature and using one camera. I am directing, also editing, VFX, sound design. So I am actually going to film all scenes of each location, so we don't need to keep going back and forth. Edit each scene as a short. Then re assemble into the story.

I love this video, thanks for sharing. I shot an entire feature film during the pandemic on my smartphone, all by myself. That is absolutely what taught me how to be a filmmaker. I'm actually now shooting my second film with a Panasonic S5, again, all by myself. I think it's a great way to make a movie, it makes everything so intentional. And yes, continuity is everything.
