- Lego train crash with 13 trains! It's the year 2020 and all Lego city trains are fully automated and there are no train operators on the trains anymore. But due to an error made by a programmer, the system reached an undefined state and all Lego trains in the region were sent at full speed to the same Lego station...

This was because of COVID 19 and social distancing, but the trains were sent to the station to stop the guy from sharing the pizza and spreading the virus

Your lucky to have gotten that much 9V stuff before the prices went insane! I really wish I could do something like this, but $3 a track section is beyond my price range.

+V Bricks I don't use batteries ;) It got stuck when I enabled the power so I had to give it a little push before it started riding :)
No Minifigures were harmed severely during this making of this video. That's the year 2021 and all Garry's mod trains are fully automated and there were no train operators on those trains anymore but due to an error made by a programmer. Who me? Yes you. The system went into an undefined state and everybody in the region were sent at full speed to the same station oops. Some Minifigures are going to have a really bad day. SMRT Train, SBS Transit, Land Transport and Authority, MTR M-Train, K-Train, C-Train, A-Train, MTA, London Underground, MBTA and JR East. Bernard: Big train crash that was? Max: Darn! Honestly Lego city trains have gotten worse since 2020 I would not want to have any of the new ones. I have Lego train number 7938 & 60051 🚂

How many tracks were used? ... Great Idea ;-)
From the top of my head:

I did the crash 3 times for the best results. Around 300 track segments have been used.

I'm presuming these are 9v track? If so how do you time this? I imagine you sitting next to a ton of regulators frantically turning the dials. Or perhaps suddenly flipping a power switch to all of them?
Yes, all 9V tracks. All the tracks are connected to a single power supply. Timing is done by trial and error: change the starting position of every train to make them all arrive in the middle at the same time.

It sort of means that you only used pieces that where contained in the respective kits.
Uhm no, I bought also bricks on Bricklink if that's what you mean...
I have built LEGO sets before, but never a train one, and seeing this video I was starting to get interested in starting; whiever, I have no idea what they include, and I want to know if all of the necessary components for the trains to go around are included in the kits.
+MDG Ah like that! Yes. All train sets come with at least a loop of track. You can see it on the pictures of the set on the box. Passenger trains have most of the times a little platform and freight trains come always with a side structure.
