Bro I play on rx470 8gb and i7 6700 how much fps should I be getting ??
I get around 130-180 but the weird thing is that I get that fps on every setting it doesn’t matter if iam playing on low , medium or high
Because valorant is not a GPU intense game like normal games. The load is on the CPU. you can check your CPU usage. Unless the GPU is not hitting 99% of its usage..it's a CPU or memory bottleneck.

Vrga, los fps te van casi igual que a mi, y eso que yo tengo una RTX 3060, pero no tengo dual channel en la ram, espero que sea eso, por que si no me timaron.
Check your pcs temp and cpu utility. A RTX 3060 shouldve performed twice or three times as strong

how can you have higher fps with the same pc spec as me (exclude mine 16gb ram) while mine only 80-100 fps ?
Sometimes if you have only one RAM module in your system you run the risk of overloading the memory if you play demanding games, including Valorant, which translates into fps drops or stuttering.

Try running afterburner as administrator.

Would you recommend the i5 6400 for gaming?
Not worth getting anymore, since it is old and having a hard time on newer games as well as multi tasking and there are cheaper newer hardware than this one that can outperform it by more than 2x.

It depends on the prices of the country but you can go 5000 series ryzen and 12th gen intel if you want a current or last gen. If you are on a tight budget, you can go older gen like 10th gen intel or ryzen 2000 or 3000 if they go for low prices.
A specific cpu can be a ryzen 5 5600 since it has good value and is cheap. If you want an intel cpu, you can go for a i5 12400. For older gen cpus, it is mostly in the 2nd hand market, so you can just look for a cpu that is still capable and cheap. You can research which old cpus can still perform great in recent games.
