@Kombatanent Apparently , Julian auditioned with Several Accents including A Thick Eastern European Accent similar to A Romanian Accent ( which is how The Latverian Accent was described in The Comics )but The Filmmakers felt it would be hard for The Viewers to understand so they told him to use An American Accent with Occasional Hints of European Ancestry slipping through , explaining he`d lived in America for many years in The Film !
I think out of all the actors/actresses in the video game Julian did the best job. He nailed it and it was believable. He makes a phonenial voice actor, in my opinion. That's just me. Voice acting is very difficult, not a lot of people can make it work.
@Cloud10v35Aerith Julian DOES have An Aussie Accent in Real Life ! He JUST plays A LOT of Americans and Europeans living in America so his Natural Aussie Accent is sort of intermixed with An Assumed American Accent ! Ioan`s Welsh of Native American descent and he plays A LOT of Americans AS WELL !
Looking back at the movie it had good points and bad points. I honestly wish they didn't change the concept to much. There was no Von Doom Industries and he didn't go up into space. Human Torch was to old. Ben piloted the ship and his accent sounded wat to American. Also Doom was a little to playful in some parts.
I strongly agree with you, Victor Von Doom is not a Trump type which made the character very lame in my opinion. However, I don't know what you mean by "too old". Chris Evans was in his twenties when he played the Human Torch/Johnny Storm. I didn't like Jessica Alba as The Invisible Woman. Sue Storm is not a Latina. Jessica is gorgeous and good actress. However, she looked too young and ethnic to be Sue Storm. She looked nothing like her.
I woner why he doesn't speak in his natural accent?! maybe its just cus he's working and it takes a while to make his american accent sound...american lol idk i loved him in charmed

man. he WAS dr doom. he played him perfectly, i just wish that he had more of a dracula accent, it leaked out like twice in the first movie
