@Starscream91 It was because of disputes he had with Disney going back on their word with his character.
@Starscream91 Nah, it was more that Disney basically screwed Robin Williams over in a legal dispute. Hence why Dan Castellaneta played Genie in the sequel, Return of Jafar.
Robin Williams did return for the third movie, though.
@@mr.battle20 Dan Castellaneta also voiced Genie in the Aladdin TV show (which Return of Jafar was the pilot to). The only other time Robin Williams voiced Genie was in the finale movie Aladdin and the King of Thieves.

I like how in this game, you don't have to wait through a loading screen before getting to a boss fight. I'm glad they did that again in BBS A Fragmentary Passage and KHIII.

That's an interesting theory
After everything Jafar did in the movie, seeing the living tar get beaten out of him is so satisfying. Like a scoop of peanut butter ice cream smothered in hot fudge and topped with rainbow sprinkles!

Jafar's attacks in the film are based on his puns which wouldn't work here. They had to give a him moveset similar to Golbez

Giving him a wall of fire, knocking you back with some wind like when he lifted Aladdin, zapping him(which he practically already does), would have been possible

For being the first phase of a boss fight, this actually looks pretty good, too bad phase two was such a disappointment.
Though both phase fight was just 'go there and hit the target'
I played this boss fight yesterday, and also got the same impression. The first phase was pretty challenging, the second one was a little disappointing because it's too easy. 😅
