I've bought the Macbook air m1. You should've mention that 8GB Ram is not really sufficient for editing in Davinci Resolve. It rely mostly on swap memory which is not that great
I really don’t understand how is it okay to compromise on ports, storage, screen quality, RAM and even light gaming if you ever want to do- just because it’s an Apple. I’ve recently purchased Lenovo ideapad 5 pro ultra 5 125H with 16GB ram (7467mhz) and an ARC iGPU. Screen is 2.8K OLED with 120hz refresh rate, almost all the needed ports and 1 TB of storage for 71,000.(after student discount and cashback offer) and it works like a charm. No regrets so far.
I don’t know any editing so that I’ve not tried so far, but games like valorant or GTA 5 on medium settings can be played buttery smooth on this machine.
I don’t really trust on windows laptops when it comes to long term usage… I have many friends who have purchased all the high end laptops but after 2-3 years, the laptop gets slowed down like crazy… Boot time, app loading time, frame drops in gaming and many more. I could have easily purchased any high end laptops but I wanted to go long term so I got this cuz one of my friend is still rocking M1 chip smoothly even after 3 years. Also I don’t play games due to workload. And I’ve already mentioned all the pros and cons of this laptop. I appreciate your purchase but the purpose varies people to people…
@@Nobody-YT I hope you’re wrong. 😂 because I need this laptop for another good 3-4 years. Ultra series chips are the newest ones and are said to be great in terms of performance. If this slows down within 2-3 years I’m getting MacBook hereafter. I do trust Apple as I’m already using iPhone and Apple Watch since last couple of years, but just for the extra specs and features I’ve gone to a windows machine. Let’s see. 🙏

i bought mba m1 in 2022, and i would say it still gives me 7-8hrs of battery backup with normal use despite battery health gone down to 89%

The thing is, if you are using 16 GB model (which I hope you are doing), then it is probably, Fine. But 8 GB variant is not sufficient, it lead to constant swapping with SSD (which is soldered into the motherboard) and with this type of usage, I doubt that SSD can last more than 2-3 years, and as it is soldered into the Motherboard, It can lead to premature death of your SSD, especially leading the MacBook useless.
What are the most required third party accessories to buy .like ssd, connectors,mouse . Make a video on that .

1) Yes After Effects will run smoothly. There might be some gitter while using it because It's a very high end software. But it will definitely work better compared to other windows laptop at this price range.
2) It sometimes really doesn't matter how old the chip is. If you watch its comparison with M2 & M3 Airs, the SSD speed of M1 is almost double than theirs. So they are already lacking the SSD speed which is important for content creators.
3) One of my friend is using M1 Air straight from 3 years now and he was the person who recommended me to buy this laptop. His M1 is still working as smooth as my 6 months old M1.

I'll suggest you for after effects like stuff go with pro and 16gb RAM atleast. It can actually be beneficial and bhai after sometime you feel screen chhota hai due to big big bezels I really don't like it. So if you can afford 14inch pro with 16 go for it. And if budget doesn't allow go with 15inch m2 offline mein kuch shops hogi hai jo saste mein dilwa degi. Not official store.

Tbh u won’t get huge jumps on specs on m1,m2 and m3. If u are concerned with longevity wise u can decide on newer models. So as a content creator ur focus should be on choosing more ram and ssd which will benefit you , I would say go for more ram cause ssd wise we can work around like using a external ssd

All apps which are free in windows are also free in mac so don’t worry about that but it’s bit complicated to run crack or pirated stuff apart from that 8GB Ram is enough if you don’t do heavy af video editing but you can still do heavy edits but it will take a while otherwise normal editing and productivity just awesome because of Apple optimisation and 256GB depends on your needs for me i have no problem with 256GB.

And it works fine.i can easily edit 1080p youtube videos on filmora for 2 youtube channels.easy peasy handles 7 to 8 layers and a heavy file exporting it to 4k.

Crack software install kiya ja skta hai but reliable nai hai… I would suggest use Davinchi Resolve and yes 13.3” ka display sachme chota hai… maybe yeh issue create karega… better hoga windows laptop lelo… usme toh sab chal jata hai….

I am an MBA student and softwares that i use on regular basis are MS Office, powerpoint, Excel, Power BI and Tableau and sometimes coding in python and R language. @@90skalaundaits been 7 days. i like the laptop, its handy, looks beautiful, gives great battery time, camera quality is good (although its 720p, doesn’t feel like its any less). About the software issue, office type softwares are which are paid aren’t that much of an issue since most things are online like google sheets, google doc, canva, so that resolves the issue. Apple has some official apps of its own for these type of uses. Although some particular softwares like Power Bi, Tableau might be an issue in mac since they are paid. For the time being, i am using the free trial of tableau. About the usb-c type ports, for that I’ll need to but some usb-c to 3.0 cable. Overall i think its a pretty good option, considering prices of Evo certified laptops.
