i really love this movie. the others are just as enjoyable but i feel like it become always about just winning a competition. here they really knew how to build a background for the characters. the whole plot involving jenna and channing's characters are just... on point. tyler had an unfortunate environment as did his friends and this led him to lose one of them. nora loves dancing but doesn't have a good relationship with her mother bcs she isn't approving of her passion and nora is literally fighting to be able to do what she loves. even the secondary characters are well developed enough for you to feel empathy for them. not to mention the subtle criticisms throughout the film. after step up 1 they barely did anything like that nor gone too far w the social criticism. the closest we had was in step up 4.

Step Up 1 was the best movie ever and step up part 2 was also the greatest movie ever I've seen every one they have made they are all the coolest shows of them all if you have not seen it watch them the best show ever
As a kid I loved this dance but as an adult now I appreciate that choreography… the backup dancers were SUBLIME
