    In my designs if you add one more step and go to the canvas and ‘resize’ it- it comes out as 300dpi

      I was going to say exactly the same thing! Oddly on my designs in the canvas it doesnt say it is 300 dpi but i do resize the upscaled version again in the canvas system and put in a new slot. In photoshop it confirms it is 300 dpi. Completelt eradicates the whole taking it in a new programme. Love your videos bailey @digitallypurposedbailey

    Great video Bailey! atm I'm using photoshop which is time-consuming, though I have just used the free trial of mydesigns to see how well it would do at removing the background. It did a better job than the Canva AI but removed all the snow shadow from the bottom of the image. So I'm guessing it won't do so well with lighter-coloured images or where the art is not clearly outlined.

      Thanks! I've just followed a lot of CZcams midjourney experts, used the midjourney explore tab to find new styles and then will ultimately purchase a style if I can't figure it out myself. But once you start doing a lot, you'll know what works and what doesn't :)

  • @kelly.metzger
    @kelly.metzger Před 8 měsíci +5

    Hi Bailey! I’m pretty sure you can get 300 dpi just by upscaling the images and dividing the pixels by the size (inches) you want to print the image. Like 4500x3000 pixels divided by 300dpi would be 15x10 inches, so anything smaller than that size is already high resolution

    • @digitallypurposedbailey
      @digitallypurposedbailey  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Interesting, so when mine come out of MyDesigns or Topaz after upscaling to basically 4000x4000 through either, they still show 72 DPI....which is why I've always changed them in PS or Kittl now to make sure they show the 300 DPI to avoid all the customer complaints if someone checks...which I have had them do :)

      @@digitallypurposedbailey yes, totally makes sense and I was doing the same thing too for a while, but finally figured out that the resolution on a computer screen is in PPI, and DPI is only relevant for printing, so as long as the pixels are high enough, the image will print in high res. Just wanted to save you a step if possible - hope that helps!! 😊

      @@digitallypurposedbailey In Topaz GigaPixel you can change the DPI output it’s just very unintuitive. You have to select the width or height button next to scale and then under output width change the pixels per unit to inches and then change that from 72 to 300 px/in

    Hi Bailey, thank you for your dedication in this space. For me, it’s always a treat to get a ‘How to’ video from you. My biggest hurdle I’m discovering when doing AI generated clip art, is trimming/cutting the individual graphics when there are multiple on one sheet vs standalone as you demonstrate.
    I use Gigapixel/Topaz for BG removal, both Kittl & Canva as well as having PS. Either it doesn’t exist or I can’t figure out how to do this without cropping (which is highly likely). Can you do a video on this or have any tips here?

    • @digitallypurposedbailey
      @digitallypurposedbailey  Před 8 měsíci +2

      You're welcome! Oh yes, this can be an issue and take longer if you generate them this way...I usually only do them individually so they are larger (1094x1094) vs the small ones and I don't have to separate them. I would just avoid asking for bundle, or set, etc. so it doesn't give them to you on one sheet. :)

    • @thecrochetlady
      @thecrochetlady Před 4 měsíci +1

      OMG!! I have been wondering the same thing. Sometimes when I am creating clipart, I will have an amazing sheet of clip arts all on one page, but I’m not sure how to separate the elements from each other without cropping as well, which takes quite a bit of time, and sometimes you end up running into the other designs. It seems that there would be a simplified way to do this and I’m hoping someone out there will make a video on how to separate your clip art elements when they are all on one sheet. Thank you so much for your comment.

    Hi Bailey I love your channel. I have question or perhaps a double check. Yesterday I was going through my designs and working on learning the whole clip art-png to dpi process. Messing around in canva I downloaded some designs and when I checked the image properties they were 300dpi png transparent image. I was able to upload clipart designs I made on midjourney to canva, created a new project as 5x5 inches then downloaded them as png transparent and it came out as 300dpi. I thought or as far as I knew or remembered that wasn’t possible. I believe I’ve tried before and had troubles and had to do a work around with other steps to get 300dpi png transparent File. Even read it, watched videos about in finding best way to do it and make clipart. If I move the the Size slider to increase the pixel number on canva right before downloading the image will come will come out even higher than 300dpi resolution. Did canva do an update? Or was I just missing something before? Or wondering if anyone else discovered this? Just after paying for upgrade on Kittl to solve the canva 300dpi problem I then make this discovery. 🤪 Thanks again!

    I love your videos. QQs. I notice you download in png for most of your listings. Do you ever use jpg? If not, why. My second question goes towards your wall art. I see in MidJourney you use the AR 2:3. Is that resolution good to print at any size. I’ve seen some CZcamsrs putting them in different sizes for different inches.

    Hi, I'm just pouring through your videos now. I commented on your most recent one about the difference between SVG and PNG. I was hoping maybe this video would enlighten me but I'm still a little unsure.. can you just export as an SVG and then your customer will have a file that will be good enough for a Cricut cutter? I guess I'm having trouble understanding the difference between the different files , and whether or not you can just export something from Kittle or canva and it's a SVG or if there's more to be done to get it that way

    Hello you mention clip art and saving as 5000 x 5000 if you plan to sell images that customers can print on whatever they like do you still use the numbers of 5000 x 5000 . For instance if they want to print it on thir notebook, tshirt, canvas etc. Do you sell them as a same size and just let customer adjust size. Or would you need to list various sizes and put what they can be printed on in the description . Thanks

    • @digitallypurposedbailey
      @digitallypurposedbailey  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi! It just depends on what you are selling, so these were for clipart so I would leave them as the 5000x5000px. So just create it at the size for the product you are selling, like a t-shirt would be 4500x5400px usually:)
