    What's the purpose of the ball bearings at the front and back that aren't rotating?

      not ball bearing, there are linear guider (linear bearing) .

    With this method can I grip Alloy wheels ( Approximately 2 Kg. ) for loading and unloading? This is for a Riser cutting machine to cut the Risers and gates of Motorcycle Alloy wheels.

    Is it working?? Because I think the cylinder force is less when is pulling, i dont know I feel that.

      the force is depend on your requirements .you need engineering calculations, then you can design the gripper as per your requirements.
