- This large, destructive EF3 tornado tore a path over 80 miles long through portions of Alabama. The town of Centreville in Bibb County was hit particularly hard by this beast. This video shows the tornado approaching, moving through, and departing the city, as well as the damage left in its wake.
A confirmed EF1 hit my house directly on that same day. It was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced. My house was shaking, part of the roof flew off, power lines were everywhere on the road, and a neighbors trampoline landed in my back yard. We’re lucky to be alive. However, I cannot even imagine a stronger tornado such as EF2+ hitting my house. That has to be absolutely gut wrenching.
I dont have any tornados where i live but it was windy so hard that a tree fell on my neighbor’s roof and broke
And right now thats were my friend is living
@thelostthunder dang
@thelostthunder which one
I drove through a microburst once. It was bad enough can't imagine a tornado!
6:00 "Oh my God" (ugh!) Buckle your seat belt or somthing! Lol
I like how it focused on all the projecti- I mean pine trees just all sharp and pointed in their immediate direction, no apparent cover in sight.
That was a great video. Thank you for posting it.
Thank you Braydon! I filmed it from our frontbporch on Circlewood drive.
Glad I finally found this... great stuff... I'd bet alot of coin that this was more than an EF-3 during its long life
I personally think it was a ef5 for most of it's life judging by the velocity scan
@@sethcourtemanche5738 a 5 would have left no trees standing whatsoever??? Mabey a high 3.??
@@johndavies7180 usually trees are left standing but are debarked
@@Michael-gi5th I stand corrected. Very good sir..
@@johndavies7180 yeah more than likely ef3 from what I'm seeing here
Rain Wrapped Violent Wedge Tornadoes like that are Extremely Dangerous and especially when you have Trees and other objects blocking your view
Good footage hope all was fine in this event 🌪 ⚡
That must have been terrifying!!!
Good video guys!!
Great coverage you guys🤙🏽
this is right out of the movie twister!
I beg to differ. All the scenes in that were unrealistic CGI garbage. Nothing compared to the real fear of being in a tornado-
“I’ve seen it, Jo-“
“YOU’VE NEVR SEEN IT! … you’ve never seen it miss this house, and miss that house, and come after you!”
“Jesus, Jo, is that what you think happened”
Twister is my shit! Lol
@@scottnewsome5828 “Why don’t you look at what you got right in front of you……..me Jo!”
*insert dramatic music*
Twister Sucked.
Need to do a much better remake from the 1995 version It sucked!
Was in Alabama on that date alarms were going off and orders was issued to take immediate shelter, kind of nerve racking as you don't know if your in its path or not.
Very good vid you captured showing the destructive nature of that tornado.
I'd be more scared of the lightning than the tornado.
Not to mention it was over two kilometers wide at one point
Damn that lightning is wicked
Oh I remember this happening it was during spring break O-O me and and family were at the beach when that happened but good thing that part didn't hit us :>
Wow that house looked like someone just twisted it and threw it down. I hope there were no deaths
I actually live close to the area and this same storm that went through Centreville also made it’s way through the Pelham area and continued up to Ohatchee AL. Keep in mind from that Centreville and Ohatchee are 109 miles away from each other. There was 5 reported deaths that day in Ohatchee.
I think this tornado was rated incorrectly I mean it had telltale signs of ef4/ef5 damage
I didn't see any EF5 damage but then again I wasn't there. I think that it did look like it was pushing EF4 at it's widest point in the forest. I've been through an EF 3 and it was no joke....HORRIBLE experience. Thank God we were underground! I can't fathom having to ride one out above ground and without a shelter.
Wow!
Did it really happen
Put the damn seat belt on already.
- no seat belt
- driver videotaping while driving
- driving too close to the storm
- not stopping to help anyone.
Yep. Typical chasers.
Storm chasing is exciting.dangerous if you dont know what u doing!
I was in a tornado once, it sucked
It’s crazy how every single tree was left without a single leaf 🍁
U def? Thanks to all who shared your covidnadoes with us!
3:15 Get out of there, GET OUT OF THERE, DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE!
OK, that's a surprise to me! Tornado (especially this large) in Alabama? Like what the heck? Its too far east from the tornado highway between South Dakota and Texas. So now they appear everywhere in the US?
Alabama is a part of what's now called Dixie Alley. They are known to have more violent and destructive tornadoes than Tornado alley, Tornado alley has more overall . Check out all the videos here on CZcams about the 2011 super outbreak. Especially the Tuscaloosa Tornado.
@@706KayakFishing they also are often unphotogenic and dangerous which is why nobody goes there to storm chase during the main tornado season, they are prone to low cloud bases, rain wrapped wedges, all while moving through forests, hills, swamps, towns, etc.; it’s totally different than the high plains to the west where tornadoes can usually be seen in full detail for their entirety across open plains, usually with a higher cloud base and a more photogenic tornado.
At 1:24 there is two tornado look at the bow between them that is a second tornado sadalite
i live in al al let me say albertville alabama and it did not come there well as i know and why i been waiting for a tornado for 3 years hear or it can come close in 3 years since 2018 march 19 .. WHY
I feel the same way bro

This tornado took my house about an hour after this video.
So sorry for y'all.
That was on my 18TH birthday but I live in Foley Alabama though
Just some typical weather in Alabama
This is my hometown.
Awesome video. This guy probably shouldn't be a storm chaser tho. His overuse of "oh my God" was irritating.
Of course they'd be listening to James Spann during the filming
Rescue mode but one guy had a camera under each arm. Drives me nuts. I heard one hello!!!! Sorry bout the rant but people need rescue . Video n photos later
I took a video of this tornado passing less than a mile behind my house
❤❤🌹🌹😃😃😃💪💪
It did not hit me is before i was in Mexico
And they had another one in the 70's that was probably worse than this one
Is that your seat belt warning buzzer/dinging? If it is, put your seat belt on man! Driving at high speeds, chasing tornadoes while everyone else is running away! Please, be safe! Everybody-buckle up!
Door ajar alarm! We were in a hurry.
@@BraydenSiau,
Gah! You could've been sucked out of the car! Stay safe---great video
I said court house
Sorry u said to see its so ugly that noise ,take action and leave
This video would be so much better without all the “Oh my gods”
Turn your volume down. 🤷♀️
Er mer gerd
Agreed. Strengthen the vocabulary as it relates to storm chasing--I do believe he's a praying man but - used it in wrong context too many times.
if you claim you’re a friend of Jesus but prefer money, riches, (temporary) earthly things, you’re a Judas Iscariot. Betrayer. You love LORD Jesus Christ for His miracles and the claim of the name but don’t follow Him in word and truth. You’re the type to sell your soul for a mere piece of bread (Revelation 13:17) not fully trusting that regardless, The Good Shepherd feeds His flock. Repent and live life like LORD Jesus Christ wholeheartedly and lifelong.
One of these days some more storm chasers are going to get smashed and die because of stupidity smh..........
Without them we wouldn’t have cool videos like this, and news/weather outlets would have much less real time data to warn people with. They’re much more then just thrill seekers, most of them are on the phone with the news giving them updates and warnings
It is the chasers that are the ones that help get people into shelters as well as radar. Sometimes you cannot see a tornado on radar (giving a hook echo or debris field). The reason why some seasoned chasers get caught out is due to the unpredictability of some tornadoes. But most of the time, these chasers know enough to be safe. Now the chasers that I dislike the most are the ones that continue to chase and record but dont stop to check on people and rescue of needed. Luckily that is rare too. I have only ever seen one person record and chase and just travel by homes demolished and didn't stop to help. They lost a lot of subscribers because of that
How could u say something like that for u to know about it u must watch there videos u shouldn't even think like that fr THANK U ALL STORM CHASERS GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YALL BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS THE PERSON THAT WROTE THIS HAVE A BLESSED DAY
These videos are awesome, not only do we see the full force, and everything else, but they help those who can’t understand the radar and see the hook echos. They literally break it down for people. Pretty much mobile weather men not in the office. Don’t wish death on someone.
