These things were everywhere in the 70s 80s and 90s as was the newer caprices that came after these (the long bullet shaped ones) and i had a friend who was a state trooper who had several of both styles thru his career (who later turned out to be a literal sociopath) he had several of both styles in the 80s and 90s (the newer ones with the LT1 corvette engine was super fast, could always top out at 163 mph in those.) Point being they were everywhere, that is until Obama the antichrist and his satanic demonic communist cronies came along (clintons, bush's, biden, all the communist liberal left wing democrats) and said lets destroy america and also make it gay! These things should be everywhere today but after antichrist obama took office he got it to where all these cars and most muscle cars and regular cars of the 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s etc were destroyed and that sick evil satanic bastard also had what was called dr. death made, a clear mixture that was like gel that obama had all the people at scrapyards and junkyards etc pour into an engine and u only had to run it for about 2 minutes and the engine seize up and would never run again and everything in it block and all was destroyed for good, u couldnt use anything from the engine anymore, block, nothing, what that dr. deth did was literally destroy the engine and literally welded it inside all throughout. And one reason why wasnt just to destroy america, but when they did this with cars, they used the excuse "oh gas guzzlers" to fool and lie to the american people like they do with everything else, but not only do they want to destroy america and have, but it was also for another reason. They didnt want anyone having older cars that could not be controlled and monitored and shut down and if u didnt like what they were doing or didnt go along with them they could just shut your vehicle down. They recently passed all of that and even passed a law where all vehicles now have to have a camera in it so they can see u and everyone in your car and it goes into effect shortly, all of it. Obama and all of them knew what they were doing and why. Welcome to satans one world order, freedom and privacy gone (also why they did 911, OKC b*mbing in 95 and things like that and oh yes they definitely did for fact) and communism and complete control. Thats why liberals / democrats / left wingers are so beyond extremely dangerous in the worst in every way and if u notice they are almost always gay, transgender etc, hate rights, want them gone, want complete control and are all sociopaths and psychopaths! These people are sick evil bastards that dont have any good intentions AT ALL for america in mind and THE LITERAL WORST IN EVERY WAY FOR AMERICA IN MIND AND HAVE DESTROYED IT!
Definitely worth $3500. 3.42 gear 8.5” 10 bolt rear end, TBI 350 making 190 hp, 700r4 with corvette servo & parts, all the goodies.
I had one same color in 1993. It was an old TPD patrol car. Loved it!

Wow cool find ! I love these old B body GM cars . I have owned many of these over the years and i own a 81 Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan . These are very reliable and strong cars .
There are RMPs in uptown bronx, a few in staten island and im sure but not sure bk and long isle have them.

A lot of box chevys had the bumper guards
My brother had one of these same year navy blue but it had some gauges just to the right of the steering column for oil pressure, volts, and water temperature I guess it was installed due to the police package because I've never seen that before in a box chevy but sadly it was stolen and never recovered.
this one was almost stolen a few times as well

I got 1 as well 90 4 door 9c1. In wa state 115 on the dash
9C1s feel like they are almost extinct. I used to have a black and white 93 when they were easy to find, wish I still had it. I would much rather have a box next time around and I absolutely will settle for regular 305 car.
Restore keep it og preserve it i have a 1996 9c1 live it and have had plenty of the civilian box chevys great cars mine was. Two 1983 and 1986 classics all 305

All departments are different. Some will keep cars for 20 years it depends on how much they are used and abused, the budget available.

Seats not original, missing gauges on the right side of steering wheel, but it is a 9c1 caprice. Not the only one because I own a Miami PD and nypd is no difference as far as rarity. And that one is in really bad shape, I’m sure the suspension is rusted out and has cancer around windows and on the bottom of quarters aswell as trunk and floorboards. If you plan on restoring than it will be upwards of 10k to get it in 10k shape so it’s up to your preference 👍
Those seats are original. The gauges next to the steering column were optional, my ‘88 9C1 doesn’t have them either, albeit it’s a fire department car.
Lots of assumptions regarding rust and whatnot. These cars are not very easy to find anymore. Still worth buying for only $3500.

the car is maybe worth $1000 at most.....just to be nice give more than $1500-$2000 is extremely generous. $3500 for all the basic work it needs just to be regular....no way.
Disagree. It looks like it needs paint, some other cosmetic odds & ends. It probably has the 350 as well, although some came with the 305. $2,500 - $5,000 on the high end. The Crown Victoria’s of the same years.. with the 351 Windsor, they’ll go for even more than this.
