    Continue with these types of videos as this will help a lot of engineers starting up to get the experience and knowledge to go out there. Unfortunately in this industry no one is willing to help anyone especially the Old experienced engineers therefore it's up to us younger generation to give back and help the next engineers coming up into the industry.

    Ive just been out to a 30kw one of these to change the combustion unit. Ive ended up failing to get the burner out and walking away till monday 😂. I was certain it wasnt coming out without removing the tamper proof t25s. Thanks to your video , I'll be back on monday morning and wiggle it out.

      Nice one mate, yeah if it hasn't been stripped out then the burner seals can get stuck to the burner

    These are very easy for the gas fitter. I’ve fitted a couple. I would choose a 24Ri if possible. The combustion control unit being the reason. Never knew the no water, so thanks.

    Nice smooth step by step, they are my go to heat only, very handy in certain scenarios with switch live only and rear flue option but as you say could be expensive after warranty period having to change gas valve fan and pcb as a complete unit. Baxi advising not to pour water down heat ex in fear of blocking it up is also a concern seems like you could potentially do more harm than good brushing them out... fortunately I find most combustion chambers with down firing burners seem to stay fairly clean 👍👍

    I normally use nectar card to separate the burner plate and its black seal which will stick to the head of the combustion chamber unit to separate them as they stick to each other when you open clips and that's where you struggle to pull it out

    Great video! Very useful. In your opinion, what is the best make of heat only boiler right now? I'm put off this one by the "all in one" pcb idea!

    Super pal is there any chance of talking us through the plant room 👍🏼 maybe just to explain what is actually happening and how it allows heating and hot water to distribute around the system many thanks pal

      @cputilitysolutions  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Hey man, if I'm being honest I was a bit out of my depth in that plant room as there was a lot going on. I want involved in the installation, the customer just got me in to service the boilers. But when I go back again I'll spend a bit more time to see what's going on and perhaps do a follow up video 👍🏾

    Strange question but I’m suffering atm with the same boiler baxi 600 heat ! the boiler keeps going off and flashing red ! I’ll restart it and it will work for 10/20 min and then it will go off again ! I had a new pump and valves replaced as it’s an old system but I still get the same results! Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance

      You need to refer to the fault finding section of the MIs as the lights will flash in a particular sequence and you need to check it against the table to see what it's referring to

    How did you manage to vacuum out the heat exchanger in such a tight space, what did you use

    • @cputilitysolutions

      I used the regin dusta duo, it's just small enough but it is bloody tight in there!

      I use a flexi hose that is sold to clean computer key boards, they fit on the end of a vacuum cleaner hose.
