This tutorial is crimely underrated.
Aww thank you so much! I appreciate that you appreciate it :D :_)
probably case you you can animate the texture without the add on simply go to texture window and move the offset then press i to frame it just saying :)
@@lionxdagger4562 Happen to know any tutorial showing how to do it? I've been trying to find out all around, so ended up here. Relatively new to Blender, hard to figure out how with the help of a comment on CZcams for me.
This video was giving me exactly what I was looking for. And you don't even need Cycles for it. Great job!
Thank you so much, I've been looking all around for this
Very cool plug-in for Blender. Blender 2.8 should have this built in.
It is VERY cool -- and yes! It 100% should be defaultly in Blender 2.8 :D
Omg, to this day, this video still a banger! Thanks for showing this 🙏
Thank you!! Now my loop road animation can work without a really strange circle strategy
Im new to blender...
But im trying to get as much information as possible, and i like the way you make the tutorial! thank you so much :D
Thank you so much! Really glad you were able to find my channel, to help boost you into learning more about Blender :)
Thankyou so much god bless you actually I wanted to make a mock for a UI UX design so badly I don't have after effects but thanks to this add on and this tutorial I can do it
Haha aw thank you so much :D Well, you don't need After Effects, it can all be done in Blender! Check out some of my motion graphic videos, like this one :) : czcams.com/video/SsaeUzVQwj4/video.html
just what I needed thank you
Yay, thanks for this! A terrorist broke into my house, held a scythe to my neck and demanded that I make an animated texture in Blender. Sweating profusely, I asked if I could search through CZcams Blender tutorials, and he said, "Sure." That led me to this tutorial. The fact that I'm writing this comment proves that my animated texture was successful! And I must say that even the terrorist was pleased with the result...
Way past my bedtime...😧
I'm trying to animate Wall-E's tracks so they move when I move in VRChat. It might be hard to get Wall-E to work in VR lol :D
Haha! :D
I agree with you. The power of animating 2D on 3D is absolutely insane.
It is one of the more amazing things not many people do! Pepe School Land does amazing things with the grease pencil! His stuff is fantastic :D
This is what I have needed for forever.
AWESOME! Very glad I was able to give you a solution! :)
Really cool.
*Thank you for sharing this!! ^-^*
*Of course! ^o^*
great tutorial thank you very much! :) subbed again
Hey, Thank you for the tutorial very helpful. i am struggeling with exporting the animation as a gtfl or FBX, i am not sure why but any advise would be much apreciated
Perfection, thanks!
Yay! Glad you enjoyed.
Boom. Exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
So what does "image sequence" do then?
Very glad to help pal! :) Image Sequence does the same thing it does in other programs! :) Just imports multiple different images into one, so you can animate it! Think of a pixel art sprite animation!
@@TutsByKai can you do a tutorial on how to make a 2D sprite into an FBX file? I want to use it in a 3D game engine that does not have 2D capability.
Could this work for animating a displacement map? Say, if I needed to warp a texture and animate the warp effect to move in one direction?
Nice find! Thanks!
Anytime pal!!!
You can use at cycles engine in the node editor connect texture coordinate to mapping node and that to diffuse node, and than put key frames on mapping nodes translate x, y, z or scale and rotate. But this looks much faster tho.
Edit : you can use image seq also.
You could, but this is much easier and doesn't take the use of nodes to complete! Fiddling with the texture cord. node instead of this addon, is like trying to ski with plywood - when there's ski's right there XD
The stuff you can do by animating UV points in a more complex mesh is far beyond the mapping node. Of course this video is the simplest example.
Thanks for enhancing knowledge
Very glad I could help you, my friend!
What about animating the nodes like the roughness and stuff?
Gold. THanks.
Thank you thank you!
can you do this with maps like normal maps and diffuse maps?
Hello, I'm able to animate the texture, but it doesnt seem to work on the GTLF once i have exported it? is there any trick to exporting ty?
If I could have one feature request, is to have "Insert X/Y" buttons on top of the regular insert. That'd make things easier on me and not make things a hassle to deal with for copying frames.
For this particular use you could've used the node editor and a animated vector mapping node
Yes that's another one of the many ways to do it, but then that has nothing to do with the addon - which this video is about ;D
Thanks for this! I am trying to do a phone scrolling animation.
Awesome! That would work perfect! :D
Funcionaria para subirlo a una plataforma con formato Glb?
Thank you
Anytime!
i have a question, would it be possible to anime wrinkles on the skin with a animated bump map like that ? like the palm of the hand when the finger are stretched the wrinkles are flat and when the finger are closing the wrinkles become more bumpy. i know it's possible to do this with shakekeu (i never tried it atm) but i think it wold be less heavy for the computer with an animated bump map.
thank you for your reply !
Anything's possible - but it'll take some *work* :D You could even animate vein colors and whatnot... I do believe that the bump map would be more strenuous instead of other options though!
@@TutsByKai hey i wanted to say it is possible with shapekey not "shakekeu" i don't know what happened with my keyboard sorry ! have you heard about tension maps?
You can select all, press v and make them all linear, or chage the default type to linear in the user preferences
Another cool way!
how can i save it as an glb and use it in e.g the metaverse? it just shows the pic without animation.
Thank you so much.
Anytime pal!
Not sure which version this is, but I know you can animate materials in 2.8. And more. Without messing with texture nodes.
can we get a updated video for this?
How do I export this model with animated texture to glb/gltf ?
how would i bake this animation to up load to sketchfab
How to export fbx for unity ( texture animation) ?
The "Animall" Tab Is Not Showing, I Checked It.
How to render animations made by using anim all , i don't understand anything how to export object with animation file 😭🥺🤧help.
This is the first time I've seen someone feel sorry for the default cube XD never saw it that way before...
He is a true hero :_)
@@TutsByKai He is always there for you whenever you open a new file :)
How do I make it work in game mode?
You could do this already using a mapping node in the node editor. No plugin needed.
Well, this is a tutorial for the AnimAll addon that I wanted to showcase, since you can't do it fully the same way with the mapping node. Plus, I hate the mapping node because it's a pain. AND, this is way easier, quicker and more fun :D
That has lots of uses, but what about multi sprite animation? Is it possible?
Unfortunately, I don't think that's possible with this specific addon... but, you could try this! www.blendernation.com/2017/11/01/sprite-sheet-addon-blender-vse-update/
Would I be able to do this to a character mesh and animate him as well?
I added it to a plane, you can add it to whatever else :)
I have it on 2.8, I think it's released. I'm following the exact same path as here, but it doesn't animate the spot on the texture. I placed two keyframes in different locations on the map (moving the UV frame) and also switched to object mode, it didn't animate. Don't understand why. Regardless, thank you for the great tut and effort!
Hmmm, perhaps something got lost in translation between 2.79 and 2.8 :/ Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
请问是否能把UV动画导入到glb文件中
Trying to do this in version 2.93 but it's very different!
Would i be able to import this into a game engine (Such as unity) and keep it animated?
Not sure. Itshould work the same as any other import/export into Unity... but I'm not sure.
@@TutsByKai So if it's not going to work out in Blender, what's the use of it?
Did it work in your game engine
Couldn't you do that with a mapping node?
You could... but the AnimAll addon gives you the ability to use simple keyframes - instead of nodes :) It's much more simple!
MAN!!!! 11/2018 tutorial with 2.79? Nobody knows how to animate UV in Blender 2.8. I have been looking through lots of tutorials in youtube and I haven't found anybody showing how to animate a UV image. I just want to make a mouth move like LEGO style, but in BLENDER 2.8. Please, people, move on to 2.8. It won't get better if you don't use it and debug it by doing feedbacks.
ALL my videos for MONTHS have been 2.8. Was this one 2.79? Must've been right before I switch it over! I can't remember 😆 By the by, if you'd like a 2.8 video, I could do that! All you got do is say it my pal 😊 I'll see what I can do 👍
@@TutsByKai Man I really need it :(
I'm using Blender 4.1. All I did was I checked UV Map and clicked Insert Key and Blender became completely unusable. The program is basically frozen and not responding.
Does this work with 2.79?
Should. The GUI is a bit different though 😊
can someone tell me how to change image texture to something else for animating
Just change the image to the image you'd like, in the material tab.
Press T to make all linear at once… can‘t see this 😜😉
There is much more efficient way to animate texture movement, in the UV Mapping or Coordonates Node (unsure of exact name) you can choose „object“ and pick an object.
Now the texture will follow an object. Including scale, rotation and movement. Possibilities are endless. Especially lines or gradiants as texture look amazing…
Can u do one now :(
Thank you i can finally make my profile character talk lol
how do you open animall in blender
@@onyxsolace5398 you go to preferences , then add-ons , then search animall
Where's the link :c
What link?? :0
@@TutsByKai uh, nvm xD
Thx for tutorial!
Can this be done in godot?
I'm sure! Godot is very powerful!
Or is just me or is that texture looking kinda *T H I C C*
when I press on insert blender crashes...
Some of the plug-ins are a bit finicky in newer versions.
@@TutsByKai okay thanks. Instead I just used mapping
there is no such option today:/
Actually, you CAN animate textures and materials without going into extra tabs. At least in 2.8.
Yeah, you couldn't before. 2.8 really bumped up the game.
How to make this work in gta v
didnt work
This animation I am not able to export to fbx or glb..Turned into shape key but still cant..@TutsByKai ANyother way to export this to fbx
