This trip still doesn’t feel real and for many years I never thought this would’ve even been possible. And I guess that’s what I hope you can take away from this. The 4 of us are just normal dudes from the southeast. As you saw, none of us are expert saltwater anglers and we certainly have a lot to learn going forward, but we got out and did it. And that’s what’s important. So for any of you who have a place in mind, a goal or some sort of aspiration, don’t let your inexperience deter you from trying. There were a lot of failures on this trip (especially in this episode 😅), but with each one we learned something new and kept moving forward.
The past few months have been crazy with getting this series done, hosting our first live film premieres & releasing our new merch line, but what’s kept me going through all of it is you guys. I’m so thankful for this community we’re building and I hope our films can continue to help you find your own own epic adventures.

agreed I spent the entire month of July 2016 one time fishing for them every day on fly never got one. I seriously wanted to break my rod over knee.

The raw emotion that Hobo Steve shows is every DYI Fly fisherman at some point and time. Thanks for another great and relatable series! Showing the failures is sometimes the true connection.

I started flyfishing 25 years ago, my dream since starting was to catch a Bonefish. That finally happened 4 years ago in Belize. To me it was life changing. Congrats on fish!
Super Happy Hobo Steve was able to get his Bone. I understand wanting to do some reef fishing, but I would bet you could have caught plenty of fish on fly.

When you attached the special meaning to that fishery after having met a native to it, that was really moving. My heart was racing when Steve was hooked up at the end. I couldn’t tell if he was going to land it! When he grabbed the fish I felt the sigh of relief and finally exhaled! What an amazing trip.
Yea there was a moment where he said something and I was like "Oh man he's gonna lose it"

The quality of these videos always blows me away... this is a feature film of fishing, adventure, and camaraderie. Been here since Boone and not going anywhere... You guys are lucky to have each other. You may not have thought this but someday when you're all old these are the things you will remember, moments from these trips. Day-to-day life flies by monotonously and what we're left with are memories of our most treasured experiences. Call me soft, but when they gave Kevin the gear gift at the end, I couldn't help but tear up.

I've fished for just about every kind of saltwater fish and there's nothing that rewards like a bonefish. Complete and utter despair when you blow a shot or lose a fish, absolute euphoria when you finally land one. I'm lucky enough to live in south Florida but I recommend every fisherman make a cast at one eventually. An endless pursuit.

I feel your pain Steve, I've been trying to nab a Hawaiian Bone fish since my sister moved there three years ago an I've never been successful. The salt is a different world man, and takes a while to get used to.

Loved this series! I’m headed to Mexico in a few weeks and booked one day on the flats, super stoked. First time doing it! Also loved the AK series as you fished my home rivers. Would have loved to take you guys out on the kenai. Come back in the fall for some magnum bows!
