Props on the good review, but to get a few things out....
    1. The Pajero has a monoqoque that sits on a ladder sub-frame which makes for both good on road and off-road abilities, this gives you the best of both chassis design
    2. Due to that design, it makes it a bit heavier than the Prado hence the 10-11km/l figures.
    3. The VXL is best compared to the GLX Exceed (Australian Markets) since that is the top trim of the Pajero. Also to note is that Top trim equipment of various vehicles vary with market designation i.e. the African Market VXL's and Australian market VXL's (Kakadu) are not the same equipment-wise.
    4. On off-road capabilities, the Pajero offers better wheel articulation than the Prado. The only downside is the ground clearance which can be sorted by aftermarket lift-kits.
    5. On the on-road situation, it's best to note that since the Prado sits, higher, it rolls and yaws on the road more hence not a very comfortable ride.
    6. Lastly, we need to understand that due to the lack of the Pajero's much needed revisions and updates, a lot of it's perceived updates are due to the need to stay relevant to its class competitors and safety authorities.
    Thank you.

The body of the Paj sits on separate axle subframes... This makes it easier to do wheel articulations off-road mimicking a ladder chassis SUV. The only downside to it is when you decide to do a lift mod to the vehicle, you'll have to drop the subframes....

I enjoy the reviews and there are many good and helpful things you said here. But I think you seemed a bit biased towards the Prado - not that it is a small car or anything. Regading offloading capability with its independent suspension, the Paj is very comfortable and capable compared to a Prado its age. Alafu, we used the V80, but it is worth noting that there are different Paj variants, with a wide range of engine capacities, hp and torque and they may influence part of the review differently.

    😂ive had 2 Pajeros 94 and now 2012 3.2 td
    Looks are for the individual
Pajero hands down wouldn't touch a Prado too expensive to service and too expensive to buy
🤪🤪🤣🤣far rear seat to install you are useless can be put up in 20 seconds
Best Diesel best auto transmission (super select 4WD)

Extremely poor review. From the outset, it was set to fail against the Prado. Review the car as it is. You can then talk about it’s class competitors at the end. 0-60 team does very professional analysis

  • @styleandgarmentsagazzetofa8237

Bro, the only thing you went wrong about this car is your underestimation of it offroad. Not having so many features or so much buttons to press meaning you are better. We know what traction means when you push the car to it's limit. Eg: the old Land Rover 110 doesn't have so much features as in traction but it's still one of the best up to now, can't even compare it to the prado 150 you are talking about. The best of what the Pajero is known and respected about is it's TRACTION but that is what you underrated. I don't know,...

Shogun is the name used in Europe and Montero in the Americas because Pajero translates to a very rude word in Spanish...

There is only one diesel engine for Pajero: The 3.2
      3.0 3.8 and 3.5 are V6 and gasoline only.
