Recovery of the Tapada dos Bichos waterline

The water that animates the fountains and tanks of the National Palace of Sintra comes from the hill through a complex traditional supply system that is over 500 years old. It runs for about 3,000 meters, across several properties, is supplied by 22 water mines and is now being restored.
