Hope your client is happy with the images. Your video alone was great advertising.
Innit man, I want a pair now
i didn like the photos at all. not good for advertising the pants..or promoting
Michael Cook yup off to buy some pants this weekend
Tomas Spasiuk I agree the photographer is an enthusiast and beginning to earn his living from his interest. The film also advertises people with similar small businesses which I very much approve of. I found the video interesting and accept even enthusiast need to earn a living. Recently I saw some 1940's Vogue images taken in New York. The picture are amazing but the original purpose was to sell those clothes, now I believe those image are art. Commerce and art have always gone hand on hand. If you want to see the Vogue pictures they are in the Museum of Photography Rotterdam Holland.
That picture of Joey near the garages, the depth of field is so good actually looks like he's floating. My favourite picture from the series.
These look amazing, even with the leak! 💖
damnnnnn Joey the last guy should totally be a model, his stare pierced my soul
I think that removing the music was the right choice, it definitely gives the video a much more proffesional feel.
barber portraits were my favourite. Also I loved the light leaks I think they worked well with the photos!!
TOM KNOX!!! would've liked to see him skate that bank spot
Yeah! Gergo should shoot some skate photos with him.
Ryan Gaucher he was injured at the time of the shoot sadly, but that was one of his favourite local spots
Just watched his Vase part on Thrasher's site. So good.
How about that one-second-long large format skate photo
So impressive George.
Thanks for taking us along,
inspiring and enjoyable as always.
Brilliant job George, this was a treat on so many levels.
Out of all your videos, this has got to be my favorite. Love Dickies and love large format - can't beat it!
There's something so satisfying watching this series. Love the shots! Even the ones with the light leaks
The details of large format are incredible... *Checks Bank account*..........
Sidenote: How many days did you shoot these over?
Andrew Cenci 3 days i believe he said
These photos are incredible!
The light leaks are gold. Excellent set of portraits!
One of my favorite videos on this channel!
Great video as usual...the indoor portrait of the young lady at her desk was superb.
Love the Shots - so much detail!
Stunning work.
Keep doing what you do George, It's inspiring!
Props to the film crew for a great video as well
Wooow... the detail... amazing
Great job George! Congrats
Wow with this large format, its just lovely, great pictures matte
I love the larger format camera concept.
Man these are so good 🙏🏼
Large format is just so beautiful.
Just ordered my 1st pair of 872s the other day, this has got me really excited to get them worn in!
This was such a cool project to see unfold!
I loved this video so much. The 8x10 format is very impressive and you really made it work for the concept. Great advertising for Dickies for sure.
Mate these are absolutely brilliant. Keep up the good work
Beautiful result! My fave was the one of Ellie, I believe her name was, in her workshop sitting in the chair. Brilliant portrait!
One word, GREAT! Awesome sharpness!
Great theme and video!
Really great video! love seeing your personal style come through in the shots
God how i love the light leaks! ❤️❤️
really enjoyed this video. great photos as always man
Amazing, one of my favourite videos of yours. I love that camera you are using...inspiring.
Mega! Thank you!
Such solid work! The shots look superb and the character of the brand work really well with the format. STAYAWESOME
Thank you for this, I've learned much from the information you provided. And the technical issues that I could not have foreseen.
Big looks! This was dope
amazing work as always
Tom Knox kills. Great photos & great pants as well.
Literally the only pants I wear. Good job George and crew
Very cool!
I was so invested in this video, I didn't even notice there wasn't any music... until someone pointed it out in the comments.
really awesome series !!!
i've only seen a couple of your videos here and there and as someone who backs dickies more than anything really, this video was super cool and i love the way you put it all together!
some great shots there George!
really like this format
Nice to know, good job done!
So cool.
Great, great video.
This is amazing and makes me want my large format even more than I already do lol. Great portraits
cool episode, may be the best. images are great
excellent photos
Looks fantastic! Great job esp with such a cool camera. Just goes to show film can still get the job done.
Great vid man!
so dope
Well done!
Wow, excellent video
The detail in those 8x10s
i love this a lot
I'd probably be annoyed if it happened to my photos but I dig the light leaks, especially at 5:47
This is amazing. I hope to have an opportunity like this one day!
Gonna start calling you George "Avedon" Muncey. Really beautiful set of portraits, I'm certain that Dickies is going to be thrilled! Well done George!
Those were awesome. Especially loved the one with the girl.
Nice work brohhh👍👍👍
GEORGE these photos were so fucking rad! Great work!
yes! love tom knox probably the uks best skater at the moment
@NegativeFeedback You could probably take out the light leaks in photoshop but I think you should keep some of them. The light leaks really add a lot and almost look like mini spotlights, pretty cool.
Love the light leak...looks perfect! Let randomness do the job!
I love Louis' camera work! especially 4:16 hahah
Videos are rad! I'd love to try large format some day 🤘🏽🎞
I love the environmental ones!
good job mate
man that cropping ability is insane
Damn, your content is fucking top tier. Well done.
AmAZING pictures o. M g
The no music was really nice and relaxing.
Those with leaks are actually the best 🙂
Love that grungy brick wall. It fits the work clothes theme. I'd trash the white backdrop
Awesome pictures! Could you make a detailed video on how the camera exactly works? I've never seen anything like this from the modern era.
Keep getting them checks!
Why didn't you get Tom with his skateboard?
Dave G considering that Dickies play a somewhat integral role in all of these peoples lives, the shots don't at all reflect the individual nor their interests. They're just stock standard portraits on LF.
Kurt Pleavin yeah but the other subjects were in their workspaces. The barber even has his apron on with his tools. So you kinda get an idea of who they are/what they do.
I like Carhartt more than Dickies. Their B01 pant is my favorite work pant and street wear pant if I'm leaning on shooting with my XA and carrying a few rolls of Tri-X. Dickies are too low rise for my taste and there's not enough room to carry everything comfortably, IMO.
Still, it's great that a huge brand is calling you for photographs. I'd consider that a huge step forward
You got some great shots there.
Am keen to get into large format. Have you got any videos on whatbsort of gear you need to start off with?
Cool
That resolution is sick! Sorry about the light leaks though...
A very Stefan Ruiz vibe from the shoot!
George looks so done at 7:51 when Joey starts speaking :')
Hello George, I have this flare problem sometimes when working under harsh sunny light.
Now I remove the darkslide completely from the holder , and put my dark clothe on top of the slice of the holder...maybe it can help, thank you for the inspirationnal work , Negative Feedback
The thumbnail is misspelled as "portrats". Don't know if that's something you can change. Great video.
You gotta get a c-stand for that seamless!
That was awesome, love the 8 x 10. Would you do any head shots with it?
How can one watch this and not want to go buy some 874's after?? Great job advertising for them just within the video, George!
i enjoy your content and style very much, dont want this comment to appear as it goes against you but i think the vintage or original cameras of this 'genre' or large format types produces a much richer image
Why don't you make a video on large / medium format cameras and speedlights / strobes? Love the way you made it at this video.
wow - by far the best video. The only thing i missed was the music ;)
Is this Portra 400?
Is there a reason you hold the dark slide under the lens while making the exposure?
Hi George, loved the video, but I mistakenly tough it was a video about large format for dummies 😂😂😂 I’m starting the 4x5 adventure and I’m having some difficulties on nailing the right exposure. I just bought a spot meter to try to fix this. How about a real “large format for dummies” video? Thanks for your work, it really inspiring!!!
