- Quickly and easily add a professional, finished edge to your sewing projects with a 1-1/4” Swing-Away Binder attachment for your sewing machine. This binder automatically guides and folds binding tape into place over the edge of fabric as you sew. Our 1-1/4” binder was specially designed with a wider jaw to easily accommodate thicker canvas assemblies and marine flooring (material that can compress to roughly 5 mm). The swing bracket does not need to be removed after use, just swing the binder out of the way. Skip hemming and easily finish the edges of marine flooring, snap-in mats, awnings, dodgers, biminis and more with binding tape and this 1-1/4” Swing-Away Binder.
Sailrite’s Swing-Away Binder is a high-quality design manufactured in Japan. The binding feeds smoothly and folds evenly, even at sewn splices in the binding tape. This swing binder features an exclusive stop screw, which prevents the binder from jumping over its frame and being pulled into the needle when sewing heavy items. This “stop” is a must when using a powerful walking foot sewing machine.
This binder attachment can be used with 1-1/4” binding tape including Sunbrella Acrylic Binding and Polyester Carpet Binding.

Hello, I have LSZ-1 until now I was great ,but today I am making a purse cotton with bosal foam and doing the bidding I broke one needle inserted a new one like the book instructions groove side of the needle to outside , my thread broke few times checked and rechecked everything, what am I doing wrong?

This looks like a big load with the thicker materials, is this a undue load on my LSZ1 machine? I think this would be a nice trim for a dodger in addition to the binder I got with my machine. Just not wanting to put too much wear and tear on my machine.
The Ultrafeed can easily sew this thick carpet (that compresses down to about 5 to 6mm) without damaging the machine.

Yes, the Juki ddi-8500 does have two threaded holes off to the right of the presser foot allowing the binder to fit and work well.
Hi I have the bias cut that doesn’t fold the edge yet , so I need 3/8”the ford that can sew and it needs to fold the edge at the same time. Do you have that folder.

Sorry, the Singer 111W153 does not have two threaded holes to the right of the needle plate. This binder will not work for that sewing machine.

Will it work with vinyl and carpet?
Yes, it will work with vinyl binding and carpet up to a thickness of up to 6mm when compressed.
Can this be used with leather binding?
Most leathers usually are rather tacky and sometimes stick to the binder openings, so if that happens it may not work very well. If you lubricate the folder of the binder with McLube it can reduce the leather from sticking to the metal sides of the binder.
