"Words are hard today!"- Apollo, 365 days of the year. 😉
At least he’s good 1 day every 4 years
Glad you enjoyed the battle and that this mod is getting more recognition. Genesis is a really great modded and a pretty awesome dude. Thanks Apollo for covering this, really appreciate it!
Thank for sending that replay!

The new worlds mod does more then just add new factions, it also adds new units to existing factions.

The American education system:
England - develops language
America - adopts English language
America - English be saying it wrong
There may be *some* truth to that as illustrated below, and of course much of the British English we know today is the way it is because of its longtime ubiquity feeding back into the isles. Same as most anywhere English is spoken. It still develops.
Naw English that’s wrong though. That’d be subjective fallacy.

Southern accent is actually an archaic accent from England. The cavaliers.
@@photosyntheticzee9915
That’s a nonsense. The Roundheads would have had the same accents depending on where they were from, and how they were educated.
You don’t obtain a different accent purely because of one’s political beliefs.
Besides a ‘southern accent’, is a misnomer. Accents across the whole United Kingdom differ from region to region, town to town, even borough to borough. Including in the South.

Apollo taking the piss out of the English for how we say ma'am but can't pronounce phrygian 😂
As a brit, we shouldn't say ma'am. But mom triggers me.
Yes
No one:
Apollo: Gay tea
No its Gay bread
Tea and bread gay with each other
7:50 If you mean the cretan faction knossos stay with the British version because its closer to the Greek word
(He just kind of makes up how to pronounce things regularly, no matter what language or culture it's from)
I'm pretty sure that Plato was found out to be speaking out of his ass about Atlantis, but I also read a story recently about the possibilities of Amazons actually be factual
Their is a theory that the myth of Amazonians comes from a steppe tribe from Anatolia that used woman in battle, since that was unheard at the time the women really stuck and the myth grew that it was all women. The Centaur myth is also believed to be started by the way steppe warriors could ride their horse as if they were one beast.
Atlantis theory it was the eye of the Sahara
The Greek debated between themselves where these Amazonians lived. However in their era female warrior burials have been found plenty (relatively to total burials found) north side of the Black Sea regions lived by Scythian and Sarmatian peoples (Iranian languages speaking tribes).
@@landonpate7576 the Eye of the Sahara does not fit the description of where Atlantis was located related by Solon in which Plato writes about. Also Randall Carlson@Geocosmicrex already debunked that theory very convincingly, sorry its a nice try, but the Eye of the Sahara is not Atlantis, never was and never will be proven to be anything other then a very unique geological formation.
go read the Criteas and Timeaus yourself and then come back its a long arduous read but completely worth it.
I'm starting to run out of snacks and drinks because you've been telling to get them for 3 years now
Every time you say "get your snacks and drinks" I end up disappointed when i cant find any. Then i settle for a nice cup of ice cold h2o😌

I hear Etruscan and immediately I am
"Then out spake brave Horatius, The Captain of the Gate: "To every man upon this earth Death cometh soon or late......"
actually rome was conquered by the etruskens for a fiew hundred years. But in 501 b.c.e. the last etrusken king of rome, tarquinius superbus was driven aut of rome, after he had abused the wife of a popular politician of the city.
Congrats on the new house!
I agree with the mam sounding like mum but it is aluminium not aluminum
The name of the Greek armour is Linothorax
Sorry to break the news, but the Romans were Etruscans with Latin influences! Rome was a Etruscan city state but if you like to know if the Etruscans would have conquered the Mediterraeanen like the Romans did, I don't think so. They were a union of city states while the Romans were just a single state with a particulary strong army due to their manipular system!
eh kinda
I wish they spoke Etruscan; Etruscan is a much more interesting language than Latin
11:08 the Italian Spearman on the right got absolutely fucking wrecked, goddamn
Love your content Apollo, you're a beast and deserve nothing but praise🙌🏼👏
Hope your having a nice day apollo
This was for the algorithm
For the 'rithm!
Wow check out that double kill at 7:52 Awesome shot!
The etruscan's were around before Rome. They are the more peaceful trading civilization that the traditional Roman's over through to become the dominant power in the region.
Hell... it's just a place... And it's called Earth- what a mood..😂😂😂
The etruscans could habe never ended up like Rome, Rome was one stabil Kingdom->Republic->Empire while the etruscans were 13 independent cities with the same culture. The etruscans Also didnt have the World-conquering mentality of Rome.
fifteen
also they had an Italy-conquering mentality
Yes it could be fifteen cities, but they didnt have An organised united army and they were more focused on their religion and not on war
@@kasperhaake1438 Larth Pursenas of Clevsin almost destroyed Rome. If he did, he could have united Etruria with Roman gold, former Roman soldiers, and Latin allies, and when you have a united Etruria you have, eventually, a united Italy.
Yes you are right, but i cant Imagine them taking over all of the mediterranen, they just werent such warlike people but yes if all those things happende they could have united italy, but they would need a lot of if’s if you know what i mean
@@kasperhaake1438 Only one if: Larth Pursenas takes Rome. He did, actually, but he later lost it. If he kept it, the Etruscans would be the masters of all Italy, now.
until the huns lol
Actually, according to recent finds archaeologists now say that there is a good chance that the Amazonians did exist.
Yeah, him saying they're not real triggered me a bit. There is more than enough stories from around the world of Amazonian tribes or female warrior societies, we were just lacking concrete evidence until recently.
Ma'am isn't said like mum, it's like mahm but like the start of "ramen" and IT IS ALUMINIUM NOT ALUMINUM AABABAABBA
The defenders are clearly pro players because they play so much teamwork and they have very logic and good tactics well played ! 👏🔥
and the roman/etruscan question, i think there was more to it that made the romans as they became, fear of their neighbours because of the gauls, and carthage etc. i think the etruscans would have continued much the same as they had always acted...
I love how when people get killed horrific you you’re like o dang that sucks
In regards to Atlantis. There was a Minoan (Bronze Age Crete) settlement on Akrotiri which collapsed into the sea after a volcanic eruption. It is believed that that is the inspiration for the later stories of Atlantis
ha, in the case of us saying ma'am it depends on who we are speaking to. Ma'am is short for madam and is used as a term of respect to the queen for example. though its not commonly used outside of formal situations
Man that dude at 11:06 (bottom right of the screen) never saw it coming hahaha. He turned around and died instantly. That was vicious. Hahaha
Hey, Genesis made it to your channel. Have a nice weekend, Apollo!
You're talking about the Younger Dryas event, which is suspected to be a meteor impact on a north american glacier that sent massive amounts of water into the Atlantic ocean and caused massive flooding all along the west coast of Europe and Africa. Also brought a bunch of extra water into the Mediterranean. It's believed to have happened about 12k years ago.
1 second in: "SNACKS AND DRINKS" that made me laugh so hard
Modders are a HUGE reason why most of us play these games. CA needs to pay these people to work for them. I'll never pay full price for a TW game anymore.
Etruscans are the coolest faction in the mod, and they might form a republic/state, but if they took Rome might go on and take the world, they would be more Greek friendly
Mum is for mom lol but your point on the irony of the english language with them was hilarious 😂
20:50 the amazons *were* real existent tho
Rome honestly has to add more factions to the game. It would surely be fun.
18:20
I WAS WAITING FOR THAT !! HAHAHAHA SO TRUE
They made Troy better then CA made the actual game about Troy! The developer who made this mod really knows his stuff, it’s a really good mod.
Hell yeah a defensive victory! Excellent battle as always Apollo. Hope the move and the internet hook up goes smoothly for you brother
I would love to see an overhaul just like new world, but adding some things from different points in history. For example a Viking faction, a Byzantine faction, and wessex, or other iconic kingdoms/militaries through history.
I think as long as you didn't add anything like gunpowder units it would still all balance out fine. It would basically be picking your favorite kingdoms through history and duking it out with the others.
Mod developer here! That’s almost the case here! An early precursor to the Vikings are coming soon!
@@Genesis115 sweet, great job so far btw
I just found joe onit just bevore this video I subscribed already to him
A Etruscans vs Romans battle will be amazing.
The Etruscans were in control of Rome, that is why it formed a republic. After they removed their Etruscan Governor they vowed to have no king again. (Like the USA)

That was some battle, probs the best one I've seen. Hats off to the Etruscan's, they seem like a solid faction.

Is there gonna be a house tour?
for the algorithm! love you apollo
Watching this during online school thanks for the awesome vid
The Amazonian women were really the help Troy to get food when they were getting starved out
From what I read, Atlantis was inspired by one of the island civilizations in the Aegean (I think Crete or Minoan or something else) but the city itself was ultimately just made up for the story. Plato created it as a boomer thing since he though that Athens with its wealth and democracy was sliding into hedonism and all that jazz and that they should be more like Sparta. Atlantis is the story of a wealthy and powerful city being destroyed in a way that was supposed to draw parallels to at the time modern Athens.
And then people took it seriously but completely blew it out of proportions kind of like El Dorado. There was likely an actual city, but it wasn't good/epic/mythical enough so they kept looking. Seriously, the conquistadors came across a city where the king was dusted with gold and bathed in a lake and people even dumped golden trinkets as offerings into it but that still wasn't enough gold for the conquistadors.
The two other things you mentioned about the flood and pre-native American civilizations. The story that Noah's flood is based on is likely a lot more mundane and was based on a story of how some guy and his family was washed away in a non-asteroid related flooding of the Tigris or Euphrates and made their way back. Add some dramatization, some religious motives and generations of storytellers and it goes from "some dude gets lost at sea for a little" to "a flood destroyed the world and only one ship survived".
The pre-native stuff sounds like British Isrealism or Mormonism, both of which are just wack ass takes on Isrealite lineage and exiled tribes mixed with a very hefty dose of racism. Alternatively, there are stories that one of Mansa Musa's descendants managed to sail from Africa to South America although again, grain of salt in that they'd ever manage to establish themselves there or just not get lost at sea.
I hope you enjoy your new house mate ^_^
I think in a 4v4 especially, holding that elavated island area is a great strategy. The defenders used enough troops to force the attackers to deal with. This keeps attacking troops from being able to concentrate and makes the use time and resources. Had the defenders not held that point the Persian army could've sent all their troops to assist the main assault in the mid game
Ayeee new house!! Congratulations Apollo u made it, our boy Apollo out here eatinnn!!! I’m proud
May this house bring more contents and subs good luck
Yeah Etruscans look real nice!
About the Amazons... I wouldn't have given them hoplites, at least not a phalanx, rather more cavalry units. With bows, pikes and long swords. Yeah Sarmatians and Scythians (after what I would fashion Amazons) used scale and ring mails, breast plates, leg guards and helmets.
Robert Sepehr is an anthropologist on youtube that talks about those civilizations like Atlantis. I don't know too much about it, but I think he's pretty astute on the subject, so he might be a good source if anyone is into that.
Lookin forward to the break from school
Apollo....we have a juicy battle.
Me......getting my popcorn.
I love the cringe every time Apollo goes over the Amazonians 😂😂
Keep up the quality vids A ✊🏻
It's Knossos Apollo. With a hard K. Also, Etruscans did occupied Rome for a while. The Tarquinii dynasty that reigned in pre-republican Rome were Etruscans. The Romans, in denial, refferred to those time as the "age of kings" (probably inacurate translation). Love from Greece.
Also, they're the source for the legend of the Minotaur.
Thank you pixie poo for the content even if you don't have wifi you genuininly car about your audience and we care for you
Apollo saying mum is to funny🤣
I believe Genesis the creator of the mod added new units to all the factions so that's why gettai has sime new boiss
Luv yo vids pixie😍
I love total Rome two
Ancient civilisations: Check out Randall Carlson & Graham Hancock. Also, check out Gebekli Tepi.
If you should speak to the Queen, in the first instance you would use the address: Your Majesty. Subsequently, you say: Ma'am, which rhymes with Ham. Ma'am, rhymes with Harm, is used for eg. Service Personnel addressing senior Female officers (Army, Navy, Airforce, Police Service). Madam can be used generally when addressing older ladies, Miss for young ladies. Mum is used where you would say mom.
You should try re-creating 300 with This mod
Or the siege of Troy... or the battle of Gaugamela. The possibilities are vast ;)
The highlight is watching the tidbits of Apollo talking about America and politics, I catch it in every video and his subtle show of his, in my opinion, immense patriotism, makes my day 🇺🇸
Haha glad someone catches it.

are the factions just for multiplayer or do they have campaigns because I would love to see you do an Atlantis campaign.
It has a fully functional campaign with all new mechanics, buildings, resources, and everything in between :D
Wouldn't suprise me if the trojans fell for that wooden horse again...
By the way Apollo, the British speak the language as it's supposed to be spoken. It's the Americans who speak it wrong.
Wrong
Actually what is spoken in New England has the accent of England 200-300 years ago.
Obviously broadly speaking as there are extreme regional variations to this day.

Pls more of this mode
This video was posted 13 minutes ago not even long enough to watch the full video
If Apollo was my history teacher, i'd go to school every day.
Apollo you don't want the wrath of the British now
i first hoped is was my replay? but still great battle
10:15 A good way for the attackers to block those defending troops up there, so the defenders can't bring them down for reinforcements hey
Apollo with a really convincing explanation about how British people pronounce Ma'am wrong and immediately destroying the 'proof' by remembering how ridiculous wrong the American pronunciation of 'aluminium' is.
Perfectly timed for lunch, nice
