- Deva Curl! The Super Mousse instructions are WRONG
The usage instructions are: Shake well. Hold upside-down, dispense into palm. Distribute and scrunch through soaking wet hair. Do not rinse. Air-dry or diffuse. Fluff at roots.
Also it says Day 3 Volume on Day 1, it’s Day 1 volume on Day 3!!!
It’s all good until I got to the “air dry or diffuse”. You cannot let a volume product air dry. If the hair dries flat, it will STAY flat. In fact, it will stay flatter than flat because it’s being held in place by the product. You have to diffuse the hair upside down and pull the roots away from the scalp while drying.

If I touch my hair with my hands during diffusing my hair turns into the biggest frizzball. But my curls are also tighter, so maybe that makes a difference. I don't have to work as hard as a lot of curlies do to get volume--it's always there. My big fight is for curl *definition* . Even after my hair is dry and I go in with product to break the cast, I still have to be super gentle or the frizz will come for me.
@@undeniably_lenora I love the length/style of your hair, think it looks fresh and chic. I want to cut mine like yours, but I'm growing out old color-- *almost there!* --and want to make sure that once the color is cut off there's still enough hair left for your style.

I know, right? I swear, I look at my scalp to see if my hair is thinning. I never had problems but I have met people that did. They have reformulated everything. Historically when a company gets in trouble like that and they have to completely switch gears, usually everything is better than ever. So I have high hopes.

Tell me about this hair spray you recommend! Not a brand I've ever heard of, but its reasonably priced. I have fine, thin curlly hair and I really need hair spray and use it, but don't like the feel. I've resorted to using dry volume spray, so my hair is not crunchy, but it is gritty. Sigh.
Hi! Aerogel is a medium hold hairspray that does not build up on the hair. I would suggest buying a small can first to try it out or buy it from somewhere where you can return it if you don’t like it. The scent is very light. The best thing, is what it does for yourcurls! It defines your curls and makes them amazing!

I suffer from vertigo, so there is no way that I can turn my head upside down to style my waves. Any suggestions on how to achieve a similar look without turning upside down?
First of all, bless your heart!!! And absolutely, you can still style your hair. I don’t always have my clients turn upside down.
Put all your products in your hair and diffuse dry and scrunch the entire time. Pull up a little where you would like more volume as you diffuse. The more you practice, the better you will get!
If you can lean your head to either side, do that as well and scrunch. Try using clips like the Bounce Curl Volume Clips for volume also.
