Thanks for the content Richard. Here in Scotland we're in lockdown and content from guys like yourself are keeping me sane. Due to me and my son being in a high risk category for this virus we have had to self isolate away from my wife and other son. Videos like this are keeping me company and getting me through this tough time so i'd like to say thanks to you and Jen for an entertaining video. stay safe and keep it coming mate. 😁👍
Smol notes: The large gem are = 5 (in the manual). The King tile also means that, should you land in the tower, you get +5 gems (in place of +3) Builing a totem doesn't = "instant win"; the totem does need to survive a round of catapults (As win happens just before recruitment phase)
I think this a really cool concept for a game. Because if you're very skilled with your launching, you can scream ahead of the game. I love that it combines skill and also brains for how you're gonna spend your money. A lot of games just seem to have "who can micro manage their resources the best" or "who gets the bonus cards that match the round goals"(so while working towards the round goals, you're also getting points for your personal bonuses). Not sure how good id be at this but it seems cool!
definitely a skill based game. i expect really great players would have to handicap themselves somehow against new players (like maybe they only start with one goblin?)
I think you should have collected diamonds for landing goblins on a roof at around12:20, and later around 17:10. I ordered Flyin' Goblin direct from Iello based on your video run through. What a family-fun board game! So far our champ is our 12-year-old grandson.
Yes. That was a very impressive shot. Past that, I was really impressed with the game because it had some really good choices mixed in with the dexterity gaming. I didn't expect that.
I actually let this run past my initial impressions, just to see how good the CGI Jen program is. Because catapult is not new. And the last catapult game I played was crap. Glad I did. For a toy, this one actually has a game with it... And I think Jen might be real! O.o
Yeah a Jen episode!! I really don't like the "last person to finish gets just one more chance" mechanic. Seems to add a level of exclusion that I think I'd house-rule out. Otherwise what an adorable take on a dexterity game!
Rules goof ... if you have the balcony tile in front of you it’s not worth 5 gems ... it means that if you throw a gobelin in the castle instead of taking 3 gems you take 2 more for a total of 5 😉
I thought it was odd you kept wanting to go for the king. If it goes back and forth, why not wait until later in the game and focus on getting more workers?

Can you take the actions for whatever your people land in, in any order? Lets say you land one person in the -1 gem and one person in the +1 gem, can you take the -1 gem first and if u have no gems u dont lose any and then take the one gem and gain it so u net with a positive?
This game could be a blast, if it didnt have that destroying moment. Jen spent 3 turns and a lot of money to build it. How must she feel when realise those turns meant nothing?
well remember, only the top most piece is lost, so she's only out one purchase. but i imagine with more plyers, it's even tougher to get the thing built...

So you have to call when you finish all your launches. And then you resolve all effects from that player from fastest to slowest
I believe he states that yes, you can resolve your OWN figures in whatever order you wish.
