@@jbfh7420 I get what you’re saying but if I live in Europe then even if I don’t identify as European I still am European as a consequence of having been born in Europe and raised there. A Scottish person can indentify purely as Scottish but that doesn’t change the fact that they were born on the island of Britain. The culture of these British isles are intrinsically linked. People can identify as more than one thing. Neil Oliver for example is Scottish but he also identifies as British as a part of his identity. Like an American being proud of their state and their country overall.
@@Valencetheshireman927 there are terms for these things. Nationality and ethnicity. Nationality: legal term, who is born / has citizenship in a state. A resident. Ethnicity: social grouping based on cultural distinction between an in-and-out group centered around geography, race & history. What is a state? Organised political community, run by one government. I hardly think I would identify with the state as a political "community" I'm mostly not a part of. An ethnic group transcends state boundaries. I'm not defined by the political class / bureaucracy of the state I live in. People don't define themselves by a political class 🙄. If I live in the UK and am greek, ethnically but have british citizenship then: I am part of a distinct cultural (ethnic) group I am grouped arbitrarily by state with other people (nationality) People who identify with nationality only identify with "living" in a place. You can't group english and scottish people together based on cultural similarities; the connections those provide are very limited. I think that people identify more with the state because of a change in priorities. Social organisms were more important to survival in small(er) communities but now the state and the market provide for us (except those things aren't "personal" - they aren't people, rather they are superstructures) You are not wrong but I think you need to consider the definitions of ethnicity and nationality.

For queen and country.
I'm here because I want to listen this really nice song.
Unfortunately I saw the comments... Why? Why must constantly fight with each other?
Okay, I shouldn't have watch the comments...
Curiousity is bad. VERY bad.
+Braun Gabriela Yeah, I started reading them and the further down I go, the shitter the comments... RIP internet
Braun Gabriela after all curiosity killed the cat
Any site with next to no moderation, rules and with no active censorship will eventually be more and more right wing.
Left wing safe space ideas can only survive in just that- a Safe Space. Reddit, Tumblr, Etc.
yup
"Muh cuntry is more better than yours" -Nationcucks
When you need a whole country to be your safe space because foreigners trigger you but it's "libtards cucks SJWs" who are triggered snowflakes.
Ah yes, McCarthyism and helicopter rides weren't censorship.
What the intruder hears before I charge him in a Redcoat uniform, musket in hand.
who has a sudden urge to colonise 2/3 of the world

For the British Empire
曲の跳ねる感じがたまらなく好き🇬🇧
The first instance, I think, was at the end of ep. 3, when Oarai's team sees St. Gloriana's tanks and ship for the first time.
I actually stopped after ep. 2 at first too, but later picked up the series again and was pleasantly surprised.
Reminds me of the first movement (march) of the Suite No. 2 in F by Gustav Holst. Then again, that too is a British music piece
I give respect to the british.from a scottish man
If you’re Scottish then you live on the island of Britain and therefore are British yourself right?
@@Valencetheshireman927 people define places, places do not define people.
He's scottish. Saying that people living in the british Isles are "british" is generalising really.
If I live in the UK and am greek, ethnically but have british citizenship then:
I am part of a distinct cultural (ethnic) group
I am grouped arbitrarily by state with other people (nationality)
People who identify with nationality only identify with "living" in a place. You can't group english and scottish people together based on cultural similarities; the connections those provide are very limited.
I think that people identify more with the state because of a change in priorities. Social organisms were more important to survival in small(er) communities but now the state and the market provide for us (except those things aren't "personal" - they aren't people, rather they are superstructures)
You are not wrong but I think you need to consider the definitions of ethnicity and nationality.
*British grenadier joined the chat*
*Christchurch has left the chat*
For those who have been looking, yes, this is the version that plays in blood & iron.
Let's just listen to the greatest military march ever composed without arguing historical details.
God save the queen! And also may Sir Winston Churchill rest on peace forever... And be respected forever.
Churchhill destroyed the british empire and slew his own kinsman all for personal gain, very despicable indeed
May the queen rest in peace as well
Josef…bad news for you on the Winston front
Girls und Panzer brought me here :)
Anyone else the same reason thumbs up ?
one of the best marching songs !
One of my favourites but the best version is found on the soundtrack "Empire of the sun" / greetings from Sweden
