I love fishing. The best fishing in any game ever was in ArcheAge, ocean fishing was an absolute blast. It's just a shame that PvP absolutely ruined the fun. I hope another game makes fishing as enjoyable as ArcheAge

For hunting there is already ImPansy's 3 part Hunting Guide, I highly recommend it. You can make Beginner to Guru in a week tops, it's fast and at high Mastery pays off very well.

It's quite sad that you can't catch red fish at the hotspot, as a small bonus of motivation. I became a guru at active fishing. fished in epheria and sold in Valencia. I also fished for ghost whales with the harpoon in port rat. in the past I made a ticket related to the price of fish and it doubled, recently I made a ticket related to the harpoon, to be added with mastery and with higher speed. or with a low number of hits. we'll see what it will be

Do I need good fishing gear or just triple float and decent fishing level?
This BUG! I've been plagued with it forever! When I got my map, I would go to margoria to fish and map to Port Ratt, but 20+% of the time, it would just bug out like it did to you now and that pushed me away from seafishing in general. On top of that, sometimes it would bug out further and my boat would be nowhere around anymore. FUN.
Never managed to figure out what it is. Probably more of the same as the "can't shoot with ma boat cause i'm underwater bug"

Has anyone used that feedback board they have to submit suggestions? In addition to active fishing profit boosting, active training should get looked into. Actively training skills on a horse should net some training xp. I mean literally any amount instead of nothing or at least rework the mini game to continue moving forward while you play it some how.

Being completely honest, i rlly hope PA make ACTIVE Fishing better, it is boring AF, at least make it OP for the ppl that would actually suffer that kind of boredom in order to make gains, also they should enable aggris points+loot scroll affect fishing, could revive that lifeskill

Afk fishing and I got over 200 kk a Day it takes me 5 minutes to sell fish and repair EQ. That's how you fish in this game

Me and my guildmates were just talking about this today. Surely they can come up with some sort of solution where active fishing can be worth reasonable money without making AFK fishing super broken. The amount of investment required for these returns is frankly just pretty damn sad. Remnants of the past....

As soon as i saw you going to valencia to sell fish i knew you were goint to waste your time. You pretty much got imperial fish prices but whithout a limit to selling ammount. Fishing needs an update, active fishing i mean. Different hotspots, redfish hotspots, and other content.
lol fishing is a dead lifeskill like almost all other lifeskills in this game...sad they've let it devolve into nothing but running in a small circle killing packs of mobs as the only way to play the game
