Boxing Gym Helps Those With Parkinson's Fight For A Better Life

Rocky Steady Gym in New Bern is the only one in ENC that has specific classes to help those battling Parkinson's disease. Owner Bethany Richards left her fire fighting job in Virginia to help her dad who has Parkinson's, and they started Rock Steady Gym in her hometown of New Bern. The first classes had 6 participants, but they have grown to 80 boxers diangosed with Parkinson's. And now they are trying to build their own facility. Brian North talked with Bethany and Graham Byrnes who credits the classes for allowing him to sale solo again, so he raised $10,000 dollars to go to construction of a new gym.
