  • Installing a Saddle bag is always not a good idea as maneuvering the motorcycle in traffic becomes a challenge. Hence I was looking for an alternative to carry my stuff and a hard top box is something I feels robs a retro bike of its core looks. So finally I zeroed in on this Tail bag from Viaterra the Element V2 which is a good 25L bag and can accommodate belongings for almost 2-3 days ride easily.

It depends you fold and pack your stuff, it can carry more than what's demonstrated in the video. Instead of folding the clothes, better roll the clothes, which consumes less space and fits more clothes, you can easily carry 2.5 weeks of clothes in this bag, use a think cotton towel rather than the fluffy one which again consumes less space, you got a net compartment which can accommodate you phone charger and other toiletries and medicines, the bag stays amazingly sturdy after mounted properly. I bought this bag and it's really worth the price. It can carry about 2 days of clothing easily.
Installing is super easy and stays sturdy during the ride.

Raj bhai, you content is really top-notch. You show things that a practical person needs to know. There is a 70L bag, that hangsover a little like panniers, which seems to be good for a longer 7-10 day ride. If you get a chance please review that as well. My personal preference would be to avoid the saddle stays exactly for the reason you described. These type of solo rider luggage packs, should include some option to have a stuff, taller, cushioned side to act as rider back support. I might get one custom built, although it might look a bit odd when removed from the bike.

This tailbag is absolute value for money. Very much suited for 3-4 days ride. One additional advantage is that the bag can be used along with saddlebags for a good 15-20 days tour.

Yes, infact the backpack sack i carried for 4 day ride was proving useless with only doing duty of carrying water and cold drink bottles 😅. Rest everything was easily stuffed in the tail bag..

Raj Bhai, no doubt it’s a good product 👍
I just want to share this small tip with you, any soft luggage after you fasten it to the Bike, you have wrap a Bungee rope after which the shake will be ruled out.

Completely agree with you and that's what I mentioned in the video aswel..that no matter the bag has straps with D locks. I will put a bungee cord to secure it.. i generally carry 2-3 with me even during regular rides😀... Shaking lagauge makes me restless 😬

Looks very practical. 2.5k is a sweet deal. Have seen Rynox 40l tank bag which is also of similar utility but had a more sturdy backpack support structure, maybe those interested can look a look over that as well

Yeah.. many options available, however very few in the the sub 3k range. This one is compact but at the same time good carrying capacity and now has become my companion even for my weekend car travel to Pune 😅.

You can always just wash your clothes overnight and keep rolling that way 3-4 days worth of clothes can last you easily for 10-15-20days depending on how much you are travelling in-between your days. I honestly don't understand why people pay 5-6-7 or even 8k for bike luggage and extra for saddle-stays. In fact to me it seems its safer and better to travel light on the bike. Of course depends on the type of weather you are travelling in as well, but in summers and winters i.e. around 8-9months you can travel light in almost all places in India barring a few up North and in East. So this bag is pretty much the only bag you will need. Just add a tank bag for your accessories and personal items like goggles, docs, some tool-kit etc. and you're all set. I have this bag along with Rynox Navigator tank bag (new version) and its pretty much the perfect combo if you travel sensibly it can store stuff for month long travel easily!

Don't you think that a claw bag is more suitable for such applications? It won't wobble at all.

Ram Ram Raj Sir..About that cb350rs(August 2022 model)I think it isn't the test rode vehicle because I drove another 350rs(red color) and it had number plate..
While the odo of (y &b)was showing 1km(I'm not denying that the odo could be disconnected),and as i spoke to the employee he told me the bike has been kept here and hasn't been driven by anyone..
1 more thing, they have their garage 3km away from their showroom,so is it possible that they have more 350rs stock in their Garage?
As you are telling me to check it thoroughly if it has been used,How should i check it,can you please guide me what things to look into?
And next time I'll tell them to give discount on it or give me Dec/Jan product..Thank you Sirji ☺️

What do you think Raj Sir???

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Před rokem

      Ram Ram..
If this is the only option left, check the date on the tyres. You will see a 4 digit number which will be something like e.g. 4022 or 3822 or 3922. Basically the last 2 digits are the year of tyre manufacturing and the first 2 digits will be the week of manufacturing of the tyre. In any case this number should not be more than 4222 as the tyre should be manufactured before the bike manufacturing month and year.. anything more than this means the tyres have been exchanged/replaced to show that the bike is unused. Tyres are the first thing that shows traces of use and it's very easy dealers to replace tyres at cost of 5-6k for a margin of 25-30k on a bike. Another thing, check for any traces of usage on the handlebar switches and the levers. It should not look shiny or polished as this happens only after frequent touch on these parts.
And if the bike is genuinely unused, ask for a good discount like we discussed earlier or a fresh model.

What about the discount then.. if they are not giving any discount. Then if you are ok in waiting and shell out 10-15k additional for the updated model, then I suggest wait.. however if the above 2 points does not work for you.. then go with what is available.. but again..cry.. crib..do whatever you can..but push for some discount 😅
