Yes, this movie is better than the one 20 years later in 1999 with Claire Danes, Omar Epps from House and Giovanni Ribisi from My Two Dads and Davis Rules, in fact, Michael Cole & Peggy Lipton were not fans of the 1999 Film Remake of The Mod Squad Thank You Chris
I purchased "The Mod Squad" DVD box set a few years back and was disappointed to find that this film wasn't included as a bonus. So it's nice to see it after all these years. Incidentally, Peggy Lipton left the industry after "The Mod Squad" wrapped to raise her family returning for only this film prior to taking another decade off before returning with "Twin Peaks" in the early nineties. It's interesting (although not surprising) that her appearance in this film is a little bit of Julie Barnes mixed with a little bit of Norma Jennings. RIP Peggy Lipton.
Amazing !Outstanding performance by all !happy to see them back together one more time !ending gets to me !REST IN PEACE PEGGY !CLARENCE!AND TIGE !LOVED BY MANY!
So great, I watch MeTV a lot, for gems like this... Peggy Lipton married Quincy Jones, Clarence Williams III made a ton of great movies, always wondered what became of 'Pete'.
Remember the movie spoof "I'm gonna get ya sucka!" And Clarence Williams lll played a hen pecked former radical from the 60s and his 2 kids loved watching the Brady bunch reruns on tv.😂
Linc would star on Star Trek DS-9 as a Jem-Hadar. Even starred on Cold Case 2003-10. Love this show. As a little boy my mom would call it the Hippie Show. Even as a little kid I loved the hippie vans and cars. Bright colors. Willy Loomis from Dark Shadows, King Tut from Batman, Ross Martin from Wild Wild West. My favorite episode was the one with Vincent Price. Who played the ghost. This show had so many stars. R.I.P. to those who are not with us anymore. 😢😢😢😢😢💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞.
Thank you Chris from the bottom of my heart!! Can you add some more of these Mod Squad gems....can't get enough!!! Thank you again kind Sir....totally LOVE your channel!!!
This Show was Iconic @aSign of the Times. My Sister's Were Attending College when this came on 0:06 I was new to the seen , Being Born in 1962 They got Me into it Nevertheless Show was Never Boring always something Different. I Only have one Word it. SOLID. JWB 💯🤘👌🙏
Because Linc was so incredibly Handsome, I get that, but I could never find two others to play the other parts, as I guess that this might have been in the pre-early days of the Future Crime Waves as everyone else wanted to play Criminals!
Me & my cousins always used to play too! I was always Julie of course...lol! And I used to always make us "play" the openning when the music plays & they're running through...and I would make us stop & do a pose like they did! lol!!
WOW, what an All-Star Cast on The Return of Mod Squad Tom Bosley (Mr. C from Happy Days, Father Dowling Mysteries, David the Gnome), Todd Bridges (Willis from Diff'rent Strokes), Victor Buono (King Tut from Batman), John Karlen (Harvey from Cagney & Lacey), Ross Martin (The OG Artemus Gordon from The Wild Wild West and Sealab 2020), Mark Slade (Billy Blue from The High Chaparral) Simon Scott (Arnold Slocomb from Trapper John, M.D.)
True true classic tv show ues to which this never miss an of the episode they all was very good have it seen it a very long time r.i.p. clarence williams we wll miss you😢😉👍🏽👌😭
I couldn't be that this has been out there for 45 years and I've never even heard of it I never even knew that there was a mod squad reunion or that they made another one in 1979 the last one they made was probably around 74 I remember watching them in 707172 and then 1971 72/73 about it now there's this one from 1979 I'm now 61 years old I've never even heard that there was this one done and it's over an hour long
Where's Fonzie and Mrs. C when you need them? Plus, he later played Father Dowling and the voice of David The Gnome I can hear Marion, "Howard!" and he'll be like "You don't understand Marion" and Fonz comes in and like "Well I Do" Sorry Mr. C, punches Howard
So what was your favorite episode from the original series? My favorite three were the one where Linc gets shot and you see how close they really are (even the captain), the one where they get trapped in the cave, and the one where they had to find the car with the bomb underneath by 5pm.
The Return of The Mod Squad from the Producers of Rango and The Guns of Will Sonnett Produced By Thomas-Spelling Productions Could've said A Presentation of Danny Thomas Enterprises in association with Aaron Spelling Productions
Because In 1969, they were rowdy kids. They were hired because they could get into places the police couldn't. Greer didn't think it was a good idea for them to have guns. The Mod Squad proved they didn't need them
One of my favorite shows of all times but this is just B.A.D. Bad acting, bad script, bad story. Nice appearance by King Tut though, and I'm pretty sure that is the Bad News Bears Baseball Field as well. RIP Peggy Lipton and Clarence Williams III
Not true overall although I agree she’s not that great in this god-awful television reunion movie. The plot is ridiculous and acting by all pretty mediocre. - But she was great in Twin Peaks. Saw her act in the theater in New York and she was wonderful.
Rip Clarence Williams! I grew up watching Mod Squad, the theme song at the end still makes me cry. Great show! ❤🎭
Same here!
@@bluevictory1010778
Me too watched all 5 seasons of the great cop shows can't get enough of the theme Aaron spelling was a complete genius when came to 70s cops shows😃
That music makes me cry too
And Peggy Lipton❤
Mod Squad is one of the BEST shows of the 60's. I've never seen this movie. Thank you, Chris!

Thank You Chris
Always thought Pete and Julie should've been together. They're chemistry was amazing!
I've always thought that as well.
I'm sure a lot of people did. Myself included.
Nope, she liked black guys !
And yet Pete got “Donna.” What a sad joke. 1970s PC.
I'm actually happy that ABC didn't do anything typical like that

Love Mod Squad! Rip Peggy Lipton, another favorite actress!
Peggy Lipton briefly dated Paul McCartney.

Thanks for posting this Reunion Movie of The Mod Squad.
The show was one of my favorite growing up in the late 60s & early 70s.
I loved this show back in the day. I never did see this movie so I'm glad youtube has it so we can all enjoy it.
So grand to see this group again. Loved the original show and this movie doesn't disappoint. Many thanks.
Who wasn’t in love with Peggy Lipton. A “canary with a broken wing”.
I loved watching this show. The music, the fashion, the counter culture... It was so on point with the times of the very political and wild 60s.
So great, I watch MeTV a lot, for gems like this...
Peggy Lipton married Quincy Jones, Clarence Williams III made a ton of great movies, always wondered what became of 'Pete'.
he's 82, two kids, recovering alcoholic

Michael Cole, who played Pete, has appeared in many TV shows and a few movies.
well, I can tell you. he didn't leave that solid comfort. he was KICKED Out! LOL
Remember the movie spoof "I'm gonna get ya sucka!" And Clarence Williams lll played a hen pecked former radical from the 60s and his 2 kids loved watching the Brady bunch reruns on tv.😂
Thank you for uploading the little gem.
Michael Cole is the only one left.
Laugh a little at that moment when Greer offers them guns.

In case you didn't catch it, Linc's son was Willis on Different Strokes

Todd Bridges played Linc's son here and also Willis of Different Strokes with Arnold (Gary C.) You're right!
Ah, "The Missing 'Linc' "!
Today, Todd is on "Worlds Dumbest"

When I was a little kid, we used to play Mod Squad. We'd fight over who got to be Linc, because...well, duh
Because Linc was so incredibly Handsome, I get that, but I could never find two others to play the other parts, as I guess that this might have been in the pre-early days of the Future Crime Waves as everyone else wanted to play Criminals!
@@krisdunwoody7037 nah, it was because he was the coolest mfer on TV. As for the other parts, the girl gets to play Julie and whoever's left is Pete.
Me & my cousins always used to play too! I was always Julie of course...lol! And I used to always make us "play" the openning when the music plays & they're running through...and I would make us stop & do a pose like they did! lol!!
I thought i was the only one who played that lol. Obviously, I was Linc unfortunately when i was little i wasn't such a badass like he was

Watched as a teen Julie was a baby doll back then.

Michael Cole Was Henry Bowers In IT (1990). He looks much younger here and much less evil and crazy.
Well yeah. This was 1979 lol
WOW, what an All-Star Cast on The Return of Mod Squad

Mr. C is poppa to a wayward Ritchie...Muy Malo Senor C!

I can hear Marion, "Howard!" and he'll be like "You don't understand Marion" and Fonz comes in and like "Well I Do" Sorry Mr. C, punches Howard
I've always wondered what or who were Pete, Julie and Linc running from in the opening sequence?
From Greer, 0:06 he was Closing in on them
I still wonder that I wonder if it was Captian Greer they was running from

Never understood why they didn’t carry guns.
Because In 1969, they were rowdy kids. They were hired because they could get into places the police couldn't. Greer didn't think it was a good idea for them to have guns. The Mod Squad proved they didn't need them

Agree totally. This movie is terrible. Even Michael Cole said it stunk.
Peggy Lipton was a God-awful actress.
