In pursuit of balance and understanding the Other, today I viewed a highly respected Christian academic talk about the Christian city in heaven where eternal life will be lived. The video caused me sadness and I could not understand how an academic could, in good faith and honesty, talk of these things as he did and expect to be taken seriously. Then I watched your video Sadhguru and felt it represented something of reality. I wonder why this is.

I am trying to start doing yoga, but still cannot decide to which kind to do or should I be doing all of them? I am wanting to do better and be better than before. I have experiences like knowing things about people or knowing things happening elsewhere. I would really like to further my development. But with so much info out there I am overwhelmed on what direction to go in.

Are Gnana and Jñana the same thing? I'm having a hard time nailing down how to pronounce Jñana... some say Zha-na, some say Jāna, some say Yañya... which is it?

Yea "Gnana" and "Jñana"are the same thing. It's pronounced as "Gn-a-nuh". (The "Gn" sound is similar to Gn in the word "Ignite". The "a" is similar to a in the word "car". The "nuh" sound is similar to nu in the word "nun"). Hope that helps.
Pronunciation varies across the Indian subcontinent.
Jna in Sanskrit is prounced as “gya”

Only bliss or pain, but ignoring is ignorance and ignorance IS bliss, but where pain or misery, where death occurs is truth. Why not a balance instead of a choice of only 2, when balance is all!?
I like the arranged marriages in India. I consider these the ideal for the whole world. It would reduce a lot of humbugs.

Choice is the root of all conflict.
You can't choose !
Period!
God chooses, you simply accept.
And that happens by letting go of 'yourself' -- which is basically your preferences -- means this "choosing" business.
That's called alignment with the Way or Tao.
Krishnamurti used to talk about choiceless awareness. Which is basically acceptance of what IS. Without any want to change it. That can't happen when you are choosing.
The yogi doesn't choose.
He abandons 'his' choice and acts totally,, accepting the Way(or the Divine Will).
You can't choose!
You have to simply disappear.
Then you can actually see. Then there will be no choice needed.
The action will become your choiceless responsibility.
"The Great Way is not difficult for the one who has no preferences."

"Mind" chooses.
And ,
Man - Mind = God.
"I like this , I don't like that".
Let go of this and you are enlightened!
The "I" chooses, and being guided according to his direction you are bound to miss it.
Because the "I" IS conflict.
So its choice will lead to conflict . Period.
