As someone who has always voted democrat, I was appalled by that tactic...to stoop so low as to make such a statement....I am so many things, not just the hue of my skin, I am a child of God before anything else. That "you're not black if you don't vote for me" -thing said more than many will even realize. Something didn't sit right in my spirit so for the first time in my life, I asked The Lord who I should vote for...and He told me with only a few minutes to get to the polling place. His answer shocked me...but I obeyed and I walked in 5 mins before the poll closed...I cast my vote with one minute left on the clock...God's timing is truly something to marvel at...He knew just how much time it would take for me to get home, to search for and find my passport, and to get to the polling place to vote (I had misplaced my driver's license and had to have a friend drive me).

When I go to the pole this year because I have not voted in the last two elections because I didn't think I counted I'm taking all of me in there which includes and Apostolic Holiness woman who is black and single with disabilities who is an entrepreneur. Someone who is not black cannot tell you you're not black enough and furthermore no one can tell you who you are except Christ himself

As someone who has always voted democrat, I was appalled by that tactic...to stoop so low as to make such a statement....I am so many things, not just the hue of my skin, I am a child of God before anything else. That "you're not black if you don't vote for me" -thing said more than many will even realize. Something didn't sit right in my spirit so for the first time in my life, I asked The Lord who I should vote for...and He told me with only a few minutes to get to the polling place. His answer shocked me...but I obeyed and I walked in 5 mins before the poll closed...I cast my vote with one minute left on the clock...God's timing is truly something to marvel at...He knew just how much time it would take for me to get home, to search for and find my passport, and to get to the polling place to vote (I had misplaced my driver's license and had to have a friend drive me).
