  • From the 1983 production by Melbourne Music Theatre of Gilbert & Sullivan's THE GONDOLIERS, John Lidgerwood, as Giuseppe Palmieri, performs "There Lived a King" from Act Two. John's on-stage colleagues included Noel Craven and Norman Yemm.

    Loved it. Saw 'The Gondoliers' as a 12 year-old when all performances in Australasia were limited to JC Williamson. John Lidgerwood has a great voice and stage presence and the two courtiers wonderful.
