TFF!!! Love the channel. Wow I have a lot to learn from you. I have caught everything in the surf short of the 12ft Hammer and the 6ft+ Tarpon. Just started targeting reds in the bay for those days when the surf is blown out. Your videos are awesome and you help so much. I have always been the coach and now it is fun being the student.

Since buying our 2 Old Town Salty 120 PDL's.
My Son & I have been smoking those big 24" to 27" tournament size Reds since Sept into Oct. on low tides fishing X-Mas Bay using Live Finger Mullet. Been catching a few Sow Trout & small Flounders also on plastics.
It's been crazy, you can see huge schools of 50+ reds that would just swim right in front of us while we were backed up to the grass fishing the guts.
(They Looked like a freight train under the water, maybe 6" deep, coming right down that grass line, then another school would come by)
I started experimenting & tried throwing every popular color plastics, wake baits, rattle tails, spoons, etc. & They only wanted live Finger Mullet. I seen no one catching around us & they would just leave after a few minutes but we stuck it out every time.
I cut all their bellies when I got home & most had finger mullet in them & some were stuffed with those very small Grass Shrimp.
Sept & Oct is fire! 🤟
I'm 52 & disabled since I was 37 & fished the Texas Coast my whole life & never caught a slot Red until now.
What a Beautiful Fish..
Keep on smoking them, there's tons making their way out to the Gulf.

There are a lot that haven’t been eating but I keep moving until I find the ones that do. I only use artificial but I’m sure I could get more on live mullet but I just love throwing artificial.

sometime even you see a school of reds in front of you dont mean they'll bite, actually they might get spooked easily by your lure
